Disclaimer:
We are NOT responsible for anything that may happen to your device as a result of flashing ROMs, kernels, or installing any other mod. You are responsible for your own actions and bad decisions - so stop blaming others!

This is a user friendly thread. Please be respectful and courteous to other users. While feature requests will be considered, AquariOS tries to maintain a ROM that is smooth and stable, so adding every feature under the sun is not the plan here.

READ
!

1. Unless I tell you otherwise, you MUST always, absolutely, positively, most certainly wipe data AND system before flashing AquariOS...without a doubt!

2. Don't report bugs if you haven't followed directions - most likely it's user error at that point as far as I'm concerned.

3. Always run a backup before doing anything.

4. Provide a log when reporting a bug (see more info below).

5. Be respectful.

Let me say it upfront that I don't mean to disrespect the effort you have put in this rom. I totally appreciate that as a user I'm being spoilt for choice.

However, being a layman user, I am curious as to what differentiates this rom from others. I tried to look at the G+ page but could not find anything relevant. May be you'd be kind enough to share the reason for choosing this rom specifically.

This isn't a showroom, and there are no salesman trying to lure you in. I started AquariOS for the fun of it and I am completely satisfied with it. You're welcome to try it! Most people love the smoothness and friendly battery. Anyways, thats that :p

Appreciate your answer but I guess you misread my earlier comment. I'm not looking to be convinced and neither do I require your assurance to try or not try something. I know how to flash, test, report and fix, minor niggles at least.

The sole reason for putting that out with so many caveats was to get a sense of how well this ROM will be maintained for mido. Again no disrespect meant but some wonderful ROMs he had put out there were not getting updates and I had to change because of some issues with one that I really liked.

No worries. I understand. I actually do understand where you're coming from as far as the concern of this OP, and whether or not he will maintain as much as it's needed. He has about 10 different ROMs he's currently trying to get "official" status for. But I had the exact concern which is why I declined. If you get the chance to ever find an official release for a device I strongly recommend you give it a whirl! People are loving it:p

Now that I have your attention :p, let me just say I really liked what I saw with this ROM. I like aosp-caf and this one is aosp-caf with all bell and whistles so exactly what the doctor ordered. I'm not a battery crazy guy (bought this phone for battery :p) rather speed & smoothness is what I look for. And this one had it!

Appreciate the effort you have put in building and sharing it with the community. :good:
