I tried few other modules as well but I read somewhere that the main problem is seLinux status. It should be enforcing but ours is permissive. I don't even know what that means but I tried an app named 'the SELinux switch' but its not working. Does anyone know how to change it? I want to use Google Pay anyhow.
I dont think you can switch it on out phones jist flash the stock firmware and use that banking app there

Hey guys. Tried this ROM. Pretty great, nice and fluid!

One thing I sorely miss is Night Light. Most other nougat custom roms have it. How can I add it to this rom? Anything I can patch?

If there's no possibility to add it myself, I hope it will be added in an update.

I found a bug: when you have on-screen nav bar enabled, and also screenshot crop & share, there is a GUI glitch and you cannot crop the screenshot properly.

Night light is already available in this ROM

Thanks, now I was able to find it! It's weird because you can long press in the quick menu to go to the night light settings. However, in the system settings, there is no entry for night light where it would usually be.

I have another issue. See attached screenshot. I'm unable to synchronize my dictionary from Gboard (Google keyboard). I have tried re-flashing the ROM, I have tried different gapps (Pico, nano, even micro), all from clean flash. Also tried clearing cache multiple times, etc. Nothing works! Any ideas how I can fix synchronization in this Google app?? Thanks.

BTW, what do you recommend for Root with this ROM? I'm just gonna try systemless with magisk, also systemless hosts. Cheers!

If you can't tell, usually there should be an option to synchronize at "learned words"

How can I change the lock screen clock font? It seems to use a font called "big-noodle.ttf", which just looks horrible. Would much prefer to have standard Google Sans or similar font.

I use latest magisk 17.1 for root and it works flawlessly. (Just flash the zip)
I don't know about personal dictionary. I have never used that feature before.

I use substratum and an app called typeface to change fonts. Typeface creates the apk which after installing shows up in substratum's font section
Then you can apply it from there. If something goes wrong and the phone doesn't boot up you can always flash substratum's rescue file.

If you want to replace the font of lock screen clock only then you can try this method.
Install a file browser like solid explorer and give it root access. Then find the place where this bignoodle font is stored.
Remove its extension i.e. change it from . ttf to . ttfbackup or something.
And replace it with the font you want.
Just make sure to take TWRP backup before you do anything like this.
So if something goes wrong you can always restore the backup.

Just install Google's "messages" app from play store.
Lol thanks, I'm stupid. Didn't know Google made all these apps

It's the newest version from Playstore, v 7.5.12.211120321, how can it be obsolete?

thanks for the reply.
Yes i installed the following roms. All of them get stuck on the "lenovo" logo after i flash and reboot and never load.
Resurrection remix oreo_v6.0.0(dm).zip
aim-system-v2.5-20180608-official-aio_otfp-final.zip
dot-n-v1.2-20180609-aio_otfp-unofficial.zip
nitrogenos_oreo(dm)v4.zip
omni-8.1.0-20180518-aio_otfp-homemade.zip
omni-8.1-aio-row-by-aks12-feb19-2018.zip
resurrectionremix-m-v5.7.4-20160926-aio_otfp.zip
rr-n-v5.8.5-20170926-aio_otfp-final.zip

the only rom that kinda works is this one:
Carbon-cr-6.1-confidential-unofficial-aio_otfp-20171230-1522.zip

maybe i'm using the wrong twrp file. Could you please send me a link? Thanks.

But many of the features don't work on it. (such as bluetooth, etc.)

maybe i've done something wrong.
I downloaded the file: K50a40_s433_160909_row.7z extracted it, ran this file:
K50a40_s433_160909_row\drv_tools\mtk_flashtool_v5.1536.00.000\flash_tool.exe

then hit "scatter-loading" button and selected this file:
K50a40_s433_160909_row\sw\target_bin\mt6752_android_scatter.txt

checked everything and when finished, booted. Let it initialize, and boot. Then did the same with twrp, boot to twrp, selected "wipe", "factory reset" and then flashed these roms.

If i missed something please let me know.
Thanks.
i think your bootloader is locked. Try unlocking it again if you did that already. Texting this from a K50a40 with resurrection.
Note: install 3.0.2 twrp

But, when I first tried to flash from fast boot, it posted "unlock your bootloader" sort of text. Literally I did unlocked and flashed using oem unlock command. :(
Strange...
I have never unlocked my bootloader.
And basically there is no need because our device and lenovo a7000 don't have a locked bootloader out of the box.
I am running Dot os right now and I have never faced such problem before.

Well, that's strange. I suppose I should not argue, but I did unlocked. Because I installed resurrection as well as Viper before and had it bricked on "LENOVO" icon
