Thanks for trying out the ROM! The WiFi activity arrows are intentionally disable on LineageOS. I do not currently have an active cell service on this device, so I am unable to fix the activation bug for now. Could you flash the patch below in recovery and test if autorotation is working properly? It should also enable the option to hide the Superuser icon under "Status bar" > "System icons".
Thank you for your help!
I tried to flash the patch in recovery but it failed "E:Error executing updater binary in zip" I even downloaded twice just to make sure it wasn't corrupt but failed again. I'm running twrp 2.8.7.0

So I just wanted to say the activation issue at reboot is not related to this rom. In my efforts to fix auto rotation I reinstalled my stock rom to verify rotation works and noticed it also failed in activation. My cell provider is an MVNO of Sprint, that's the issue.
I went ahead and downloaded an auto-rotation app. It also doesn't quite fix it, but at least I have manual control and can do landscape with just a tap. That'll do for now. I still love this rom it's not that big a deal.

Thank you to all who help develop this great rom. I'm happy to have it!

The new patch attached below should work now. I will also upload a new build with the changes in the next few hours.

Also, I would suggest using Magisk for root access.

The new patch failed as well, I think it's because I have an outdated twrp. Anyways, I installed the new build and been testing it for the past few days. Everything works! Not a single bug found. Auto rotate is completely fixed. The annoying superuser symbol can now be hidden. For root, I've been using addonsu-arm-signed.zip that I got from download.lineageos.org/extras because I was told other root methods might fail on lineageOs. I gave Magisk a shot, it's great! The ability to hide root is a big plus. Thank you VitaTaf for your time and dedication to this project and thank you to all the developers that have contributed. This rom is amazing!

Is there any chance we could get this on EvoDesign4G? Should be similar. I am willing to get my hands dirty but have 0 experience in this kind of stuff.

I apologize for the if this is not the right place to ask, but I feel completely lost. I have been out of the scene for a very long time. I want to bring my old phone back to a more current state. It has been collecting dust for a very long time. I checked and I had Lazy Panda S-Off RL on it. Hboot 1.12.111, Radio at 1.13.11.0830 with Android at 4.1.1. As you can see it hasn't been updated in ages. I tried looking through the guides, but I am lost to get it to where I need first in order to flash this rom. This Rom sounds amazing and would love to give it a go. Any help is greatly appreciated!

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_hofWT8vB0cN0ozSnliSDFhY0E/edit relock the bootloader before you start and once you're done reroot and flash the latest twrp recovery do a google search twrp jewel and click on the first link and flash the rom and gapps like you normally would

Unfortunately this would be very difficult, especially when ROM development for that device appears to be several Android revisions behind. Design 4G's SoC is quite different from EVO 4G LTE's, so source code for this device would not likely be very helpful.

I am running the most recent version (lineage-14.1-20170801-UNOFFICIAL-jewel.zip ) and I am getting service activation errors. I just had Stock 4.3 Android installed from the RUU installer and was able to get service with no issues. I did a full wipe and installed the ROM and opengapps with TWRP 3.1.1-0. I have S-off and Hboot 2.10.0000. If I turn off Wi-Fi I am unable to make a data connection and the Cellular Activation tool fails everytime it runs at boot. Also if I go into Settings->More->Cellular Networks->Carrier Settings, I get a popup that com.android.phone has stopped everytime.

This ROM runs very well on such old hardware and I would love to use it. Is this something that can be fixed?

I resolved the above problem by reloading a backup of the Stock Android 4.3 image and reactivated service. Then I loaded a backup of Lineage 14 and service was working. This must have been a blip on my service and the phone being registered on the network.

I am trying to install this ROM on my Evo 4G LTE but it gives me an error code 7 and says that the ROM only supports bootloaders 2.10.0000 and 2.10.5555 but my device only has bootloader 2.09.0000. Is there a way I can update the bootloader if needed, and how would I do this? Thanks in advance!

I've been learning how to flash ROMs with the extinct Evo LTE too. In order to get HBOOT-2.10.0000, you must flash the stock EVO 4G LTE 4.3 + Sense 5 MR RUU - Software Version: 4.13.651.4. You can find the update at https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2653730. In order to flash this ROM, you'll need to do the following:
  1. Install all the necessary HTC drivers
  2. Relock your bootloader
  3. Uninstall HTC Sync Manager
  4. Boot your phone into Fastboot USB
  5. Execute RUU
Once Software Version 4.13.651.4 is installed, you'll need to do the following:
  1. Unlock your bootloader
  2. Install TWRP custom recovery
  3. Root your phone again
  4. S-OFF your Evo with http://rumrunner.us/
  5. Perform a backup.
  6. Wipe device
  7. Flash LineageOS
  8. Flash GApps
  9. Reboot

An annoyance I have been experiencing is that the screen saver will shut off after a period of time. I have my Evo in a dock and I want it to display the time all the time. I currently have the Evo with lock screen disabled, Developer Options off, screensaver (daydream) on, starts while charging, and sleep time out at 5 minutes. After the 5 minutes, the screensaver will activate and it is awesome. But after a few hours, I'll revisit the Evo and the display will be completely off and the device fully charged with LED notification on. Is anyone else experiencing this problem or can help me? I never experienced this issue with the stock EVO 4G LTE 4.3 + Sense 5 MR RUU - Software Version: 4.13.651.4. I'm considering flashing back to that ROM if I'm unable to fix this issue.

Edit: it appears I have figured out the issue. Make sure to have "wake screen when plugged in" off.

2nd edit: Screen has turned off again :(

Have you tried enabling "Developer options" > "Stay awake"?

I brought the ole Jewel out of retirement to test out a bargain mobile provider, and just got this installed after two attempts. It is pretty snappy. Very nice! Thanks!
