It's been more than a month without any kind of news. I don't think it's a small amount of time.

Anyway, I never implied an official build must be better or worse. It's just that the dev planned to make his ROM official and it seems it's not going to be the case.

It does look abandoned. Besides, another developer claims to be about to release an official Lineage OS ROM for our device.

I wish this was the official LOS ROM. It worked very well.

I think not, because if it is stopped. Then this thread has been locked already just like OP's previous LOS thread which is closed because another is already official. Lets wait, because the dev afaik is waiting for official los15.1(not for us) builds to start

Would you say this ROM is stable enough to be used as a daily driver? Actually my father uses Redmi 3s and if there is any major bug I won't be at hand to fix it as I stay away. As long as basic functionality like calls/sms work and there are no random reboots or freezes its all good. Is there any better ROM than this? I went through various other threads but its hard to form an idea in such a short time and I only have a few days to test any ROM. Just want to ditch the awful MIUI. Thanks.

Can it be fixed by using third-party camera apps like modded GCam etc? Only thing I really needed was Substratum support to eliminate the blinding white backgrounds. Thanks again.

Yes by installing it though manual modes may fail. Otherwise this Los does its job greatly. Well the OP's has been silent for awhile. Maybe he will surprise us with his oreo

One last thing. Which TWRP would you recommend? The one linked in the OP does it backup all partitions?

I encountered this situation many times, especially when copying files to external sdcard, no matter use native files app or 3rd file manager. I think it is an Android's bug. Although the file's size shows 0B after copying, in fact the file has been copied successfully. For verification, you can try to open this file.

Yeah its ok too ,but supersu breaks your safetynet not with magisk,safetynet used for banking apps,etc...
