It seems like your download site have issues ...I can't download anything from it ...it starts very slow and then it stops.....(it seems like this happened only at specific time of a day ...during other times it works fine)

@milaq

Hope you're well!

Any special reason that building your unofficial nightlies stopped with 14th June? I'm really missing daily flashing procedure ;) Are you going to continue with your nightlies?

Sunny greetings

Hey there,

we were debugging this since the 16th as the compiles were constantly failing. Segfaults happened at different build steps and although reproducible, didn't lead to a specific issue.
First, we assumed a toolchain issue or the recent OpenJDK update to be the culprit. Older Android versions built just fine but not Nougat.
But as it turned out yesterday, one of the build slaves had a bad memory module. It was one of the higher stack modules so the machine didn't utilise it until >12GB were needed for the build process (which is the case for Nougat when building with aggressive caching).

We swapped the defective module and the nightlies should start rolling out again soon.

Sorry for the circumstances,
cheers

Big thank you for updating us and your detailed feedback and of course for your great work in supporting us with the Mako nightlies.

No reason for your sorry! We have to thank you!

... Just flashing :)

Hello everyone,

I've put my self in a peculiar situation and I need your help.
Just yesterday I decided to root my Nexus 4 and flash a LineageOS on it, and it all went smooth.

Kingo Root worked perfectly on stock 5.1.1 and I was off to a good start. Installed Clockwork Mod, flashed latest Lineage ROM, nice and smooth.
The problem arose this morning when I received an update notification. I Downloaded it and my phone was rebooted into Recovery, but for the love of god, I have no idea how to find the folder: /data/data/org.lineageos.updater/app_updates

Everyone is mentioning TWRP but somehow my phone lost the root access and I can't install it. Kingo Root won't work this time.

So, should I root it again (I'm noob at it), install TWRP and continue with that, or how to find that folder. CWM shows me only instal zip form /sdcard folder, and instal zip form sideload

Thx!

Use nexus root toolkit to install twrp to your phone through fastboot

There is one issue I have. It seems not to be a problem of your build but a problem of LineageOS in general.

Currently I have a OnePlus One, Galaxy Tab 10.5 LTE, Moto G5 and Nexus 4 and Nexus 6. All have latest un/official nightly LineageOS.

However, on none of those devices hotspot is working properly.

I can enable hotspot functionality on one of the devices and the others actually do see that wifi. Upon trying to connect to it, they always get stuck at "Obtaining IP address..." and then they fail.

Also, if I enable hotspot on those devices, I can't connect to those wlan by computers and notebooks either. Always fails at obtaining ip address.

Since I have that issue on multiple devices I tend to think it's an issue with LineageOS....

And any screenshots? How to install it?
Installation (like any other custom rom):

First time flashing LineageOS 14.1 on your device, or coming from another ROM?

Download the zip(s)

Install a compatible Recovery (latest TWRP, ...)

Perform a nandroid backup of your current ROM (Optional)

Wipe data/factory reset

Flash LineageOS

Optional: Install the Google Apps addon package, install the SU addon package(https://download.lineageos.org/extras, choose arm)

Reboot
(Taken from the official LineageOS installation steps for OnePlus 3/3t)

Hope it helps

I can't get any of the call recording applications to work on my nexus 4. I used call recorder, and ACR with all configurations. Is there a specific configuration that I need to try? Am I missing some information that I haven't been able to find on the internet through google search? The best I have been able to get is recording through the mic, but the incoming voice data is very weak and distorted.

I have installed it on my Nexus 4 for a while but I am noticing some strange behavior. Sometimes the HSDPA it's not working properly and the battery gets really hot. When the battery is hot the Wi-Fi disables itself.

First, thanks to the whole LOS team for bringing this great ROM to to N4. I did a fresh install on my wives N$ and noticed 2 thinks not working:
1. Miracast
2. Apps like play movie didn't play any DRM content
Is there any change this will be fixed?
