Has anybody had any luck using google pay with the recent builds?
I'm able to add cards and I don't get any error messages - but when I present my phone to a terminal nothing happens.

I just wanted to ask if something has changed.
then that has done so I think that will never be something because nobody cares about it.
so I prefer to stay with Samsung stock Firmware there Google Pay works fine :)

No, I've been having this too, are you using LDAC?
. It's ongoing on code that shares LineageOS. Also it really depends on the Bluetooth device. Try switching. Some of mine work better than others.

Post a radio log and a logcat

Plus there is a patch posted for microphone mixer in the AICP room. It should work

Hey guys I need a little help here.. I messed around with my mixer_paths file, and I was silly enough not to make a backup. Could someone post it for me? It's located at system/vendor/etc/mixer_paths.xml.
I would really appreciate the help cause now I have neither sound nor microphone on my phone. Thanks! :)

EDIT: nvm, I found it! :D

Could you post your mixer patch here too?

Custom firmware never includes the appropriate BL and CP because (1) devs never dabble in BL and CP code, as those are international standards that need to be maintained in order for your phone to be allowed to connect to global GSM/CDMA/LTE networks, and (2) rom code is entirely separate from BL and CP code. While it's a good idea to keep up with BL and CP updates to ensure stability and good battery life, unless your BL or CP are really old, it shouldn't make too much of a difference.

So what variant do you actually have? There's no such thing as N910F for T-Mobile, that's why N910T and N910T3 exist. If yours is in fact an N910F, you can only flash an N910F bootloader and modem, as the F has a different antenna than the T because the F is incompatible with a couple of bands that the T is compatible with.

By the way, Samsung Updates Live provide the most recent versions, from which I extract the bootloaders and modems I post.

you give me the best explanation,so I have one question,I have buy motherboard for my note 4,I was buy SM-N910F and I want to replace it with my SM-N910T that I have now,
when I change it ,I will have Europe motherboard and I can have 4G ,because my new board have antena for this bands in my country?

The antenna in your new board will determine if you can have 4G in your country, so if your new board will be an N910F, then you will be able to have 4G on the frequencies with which the N910F is compatible.

MOD: Boosted Mic Volume

The microphone patch I posted in the AICP thread, requested by @tripLr

Okay, so after a little work, I finally achieved something:
There is a problem in roms like Lineage and AICP which is based on the microphone volume. I've had bad microphone gain for a long time, and a lot of other people had too as I've seen.

So I created a flashable modded mixer_paths.xml file which tweaks ONLY the microphone volume and makes it SO much better! I have a N910F device running AICP, and the results are incredible.
Give it a try if you have the same problem and give me some feedback if it work for your device.

Instructions:
1. Boot in recovery mode.
2. Flash BoostedMic_MixerPaths.zip
3. Clear dalvik/cache.
4. Reboot device and test the result!

If you face any problems with the modded file, repeat the same process using the StockMixerPaths.zip. This will obviously restore the stock file to your phone.

Thanks a lot! :)

I am coming from a TMobile US Note 3 running Lineage 14 to a Verizon Note 4 with ripee's verizon ROM installed. I'm running a US TMobile SIM. I noticed that when someone calls, and I "reject" the call, the caller does not roll to voicemail... it just hangs up. I have checked my calls settings and I have the proper number to roll-over to for unanswered calls. I put the SIM into my Note 3, and it works fine. Is this a Lineage 15 issue with the Verizon Note 4, or am I missing a setting somewhere? Couldn't find any related messages in this thread... Thanks in advance.

Try the wipe telephony patch .
This is commonly a problem with my note 4 Verizon running a straight talk sim.

That said, I don't think T-Mobile network is completely compatable . I looked it it and choose a Verizon subsidiariy network.

That said I am going to try the Google Fi Network For 20 bucks a month US. Their compatable with Verizon on a few Samsung handets, so I lied, and am trying to see if I can get mine to work.

Best wishes

It's Sony's Bluetooth audio codec, specializes in playing HiFi music over a wireless connection. It's only compatible with Sony Headphones, so if you aren't using Sony headphones then you're definitely not using LDAC. That is however what I use with my MDR-100ABN pair, I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the disconnects. Mine seems to give out specifically when I try to use Instagram with music playing, I think maybe there's some sort of conflict with the codecs. Could be hopelessly incorrect but that's the best I've got so far.

Bluetooth can be very buggy . Some of my Bluetooth works great. The AICP ROM is better than the October builds. Going to try Nov builds to see if any better

N910c is not Snapdragon and has next to no custom rom support. Only stock with some n5 or n7 apps.

I was able to get the fingerprint reader to work with my N910T, and the Newest build. If you register your fingerprint and it just goes through the process and does not save. Just keep doing it over and over again eventually it will save the fingerprint and you can use it to unlock your phone. I deleted my fingerprint and tried the process again and it worked. You can tell it works because after the last swipe the phone vibrates twice and you know it saved it if you dont feel the vibration just click register another and keep trying until it saves it.

I tried my 910v, and saw it scanning. Didn't see about the save in the setup process.

Warning to all

Found a problem with open gapps above pico
Nano , full and super cause dialer to not work.

Only install pico . phone dialer leaves me with no audio or speaker.
Thought it was a ROM issue.

910v
Install methods tested.
11/29 and 12/01
Installed ROM only, dialer works with sound and speaker
Installed ROM with pico, setup as new, dialer works

Testing
Installing ROM, pico, and online restore setup method

This had kind of been a issue for a while. What you need to do is even after it says it's finished keep swiping tell you feel the vibration.

While going through the fingerprint registration, i have found it also helps if you go as fast as you can through the swiping process. Generally if you pause between swipes, it is likely that it will not take the registration even though at the end of the process, it says it was sucessful.

Heads up for trlte TMO kernel fix

Did a build recently and noticed that the build breaks without fixes to the kernel config for tmo. Meant to post this a while ago, dunno if anyone even still uses the TMO variant or if this has been posted before but anyway.

Someone might want to put it on gerrit if it isn't already, and I'll let corinna know as well.

I live in Europe, but have the N10G variant which is designed for Asia/Australia and don't have 4G/LTE, and I accepted and live with that as I don't have another choice, so that's what I advise you to do.

Are you saying your carrier doesn't support 4G or the G variant doesn't support 4G?

I use the G variant in Australia and use the Telstra 4G/LTE network. I just got back from Europe yesterday and used Vodafone's 4G/LTE network in the UK, Portugal, Spain and Italy.

Sound round lineage 15.1

I managed to put the sound round to my Samsung note 4 with lineage 15.1, but it only works with videos and music. How can I put the sound round also for ringtone, speakerphone, etc.? I would like to eliminate the back case.

12-3-2018 Nightly

@ripee
I flashed this Nightly earlier today and have had no phone service whatsoever since then. The on-screen error message was "No SIM card - No service," i.e., the phone did not recognize the SIM card.
I just flashed 12-2-2018 and the phone now has phone service.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device. All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. If you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.

    Code:

     * thermonuclear war, or your getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
(Please read them BEFORE posting anything in the thread!)
Q: Whenever I try flashing any lineage-15.1 build, I get the following error in TWRP: Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
A: This error appears whenever you try to flash an Oreo-based rom within a version of TWRP older than 3.2. Simply flash the linked below version 3.2 or higher, reboot back into recovery, and flash the rom zip again.

Q: When will any of the variants receive official builds from LineageOS?
A: Not before all the issues listed under "Bugs" below are fixed.
Note to Junior Members: It is frowned upon in the XDA community to ask for ETA's on builds, features, bug fixes, or other improvements to the code or its functionality.

Q: What will some of the differences be between unofficial and official builds?
A: The following technical changes will take effect:
    - Built-in su root will be removed: You will have to download and install the su addon from LineageOS Extras.
    - Phone status > LineageOS updates will be activated, allowing for the OTA downloading of official builds.
    - The official builds will be digitally signed by Lineage to prove that they do not contain malicious source code and are able to pass the Play Store's SafetyNet check.
Note: Each official build will be cooked and released by LineageOS on their schedule and only if no major unexpected bug is introduced into the source code. The developers will announce if and when their source code will be submitted to Lineage for official support and when we can expect to see the first official builds.

Q: Why is my phone warmer/hotter and the battery noticeably drained after flashing a build?
A: The wipe process that is a part of the installation procedure deletes some important configuration data, ie. BATTERYSTATS, which keep track of the battery's power level. These data ensure a balanced power management profile for all the hardware components of your phone. This is normal and nothing to worry about at all. Your battery drain will return to normal within a day or two.

If, however, you notice increased battery drain over a few days, check your signal. Android automatically re-directs battery power to the antennas to compensate for a weak signal from the tower to which your phone is connected at that time. If your signal is strong, check the following:
    1) You missed one of the Wipe steps in the flashing procedure.
    2) You are running an old bootloader or modem. Flash the most recent one listed for your variant either under the links below. Note: Use the "AP" button in Odin to flash ripee's combined BL_CP tar files.
    3) How old is your battery? Official replacement Samsung batteries typically last around 1 year if you recharge them regularly, ie. once a day. Since the Note 4 is almost 4 years old, it is normal for your original battery to start failing, but official Samsung batteries should not cost more than USD 20 nowadays.
    4) If all else fails, start over! Go through the entire installation procedure, including flashing a stock Marshmallow build, and going from there. Do NOT skip any steps this time!

    Q. Flashing a build failed with the message "eMMC Write Fail".
    A. This is the infamous embedded Multi-Media Controller bug that indicates that your internal flash memory is dead or dying. Do NOT try any tricks or crazy ideas to fix it, as they are all hoaxes! The ONLY way to get rid of it is to open your phone up and replace its logic board. :p

The scope of these functions goes beyond simple vendor blobs and enters the realm of 3rd party intellectual property licensed to Samsung. The S Pen does work in all AOSP-based custom roms, however it acts simply as an alternative input device. Various open source 3rd party apps are available that take advantage of the Note 4's stylus (see above), but their functionality is a fraction of that of stock TouchWiz.

    How to install SPenCommand
    1. Install The SELinux Switch and Select SELinux mode as PERMISSIVE,
    2. Reboot into System,
    3. Install SPenCommand.

Typically if you do not do a Clean Install then you are not allowed to report errors or problems. If you Dirty Install and you do have problems then you will be asked to Wipe All and Clean Install and see if the problems still exist. This is a DAILY changing rom and any bug that you found was not working on the previous day's build may be fixed with todays daily build. On a side note, the code implemented to fix that bug could potentially break something that worked on that previous build. So reporting problems on a day old build that you dirty flashed over whichever build of whichever rom you had flashed previously will not be accepted as a true error.

Problems known to happen after a Dirty Installation
    1. A muddled up mess of a system. You are taking a rom and installing a newer rom with changes over the top of your old rom. Between these two periods of time during which you used your phone and created data, changed system options, and used apps. This is absolutely increasing the risk of causing problems somewhere in the system/data partitions. Some people have luck with Dirty Flashing. However, it's always hit-and-miss because of what we mentioned above about bug fixes breaking previously working functions. Dirty flashing doesn't only create problems if the source code of the system data and the system settings of the new build are significantly different from those of your previous build. That's not to say that Clean Installing won't ever create problems, but only bugs present on a Cleanly Installed rom are relevant for development purposes.

    * Clean Install: Fully wiping everything and installing the rom onto a fully clean system/data partition of the phone.

    * Dirty Install: Installing the rom and GApps over top of the older rom to save time and not have to reinstall all the user apps and tweaking system and app settings that usually take a lot of time to set up as you like.

    Bugs
    - Temporary fix for random SIM death on all trlte variants, courtesy of _mone: boot-1223-trlte.img
    - The fingerprint scanner has not yet been integrated into either trlte or trlteduos.
    - The front camera force closes, requiring a reboot to work again.
    - Bluetooth does not see some wearable devices.
    - The built-in camera app is slow and crashes randomly, especially when the flash fires, requiring a reboot to function again.
    - Video recording in 4K resolution is not possible with either the built-in camera app or any 3rd party camera/camcorder apps.
    - 5GHz hotspot gives an error message when attempting to turn it on.
    - If NFC is turned off when the phone is booted up, the NFC toggle will freeze in the "off" position and remain off until the phone is rebooted. If NFC is turned on when the phone is booted up, the NFC toggle will function properly to turn NFC both on and off. However, if NFC is turned off and the phone is rebooted, this bug will reappear.

    - VoLTE is not (yet) supported.

    How's the SIM death? :D
No SIM death for now.. No SIM at all (LOL). I was even without wifi (that's fixed now). Hopefully I'll keep making progress, once it's a bit more stable I'll start sharing pieces of pie.

    Hi there!

    Test build for trlte users:
    lineage-15.1-20180728-UNOFFICIAL-trlte.zip

Looking for feedback regarding reboot and SIM issues.
For me the modem finally initialize properly with this build, a first from cm-14.1. Too early to speak about SIM death or reboot issue, I'll keep running this build the whole day (going out in a bit), when I'll be back home I'll see if there will be some feedback from you and decide if the changes are worth pushing to github or not.
