Hello everyone,

I tried to install the LineaseOS 14.1 in my TB-8703R and my MAC adress disapear. Ok, maybe installing LineageOS 15.1 this could be solved.
No. This version dont pass from the initial Logo and load load load load, last night it was loading from about 5 hours and nothing...

I installed in TWRP 3.1.1, in TWRP 3.2.1, Version 14.1, Version 15.1 and no one works (14.1 install but MAC adress dont work).

Someone please could help me? I put my economies in that hahaha TKS!

I guess you have Special TWRP build from this thread installed. It's pretty obvious but in your situation I would boot into TWRP, wipe data and cache, reboot.

One more thing. Before I went on with flashing custom ROM i attempted to backup QCN but wasn't successful at that. What I did instead though is that I backed up EFS via TWRP. Google "kingoapp what is efs" .htm I would recommend anyone messing with custom ROMs to backup QCN and/or EFS first.

Sorry to ask this but i was curious and i didnt find enough info on this.
Someone please tell me why we cant flash X rom version bootloader and unlock it?
Since is the same tablet i see no reason to keep using signed boot.

any way to use otg and power at the same time? want to use the tablet in the car you need to have the power connected as well as the easycam with the recoil camera

Here is my feedback about the 15.1 Version :
Anything i tested works ok so far with one little problem. The Network Connection get terminated every few Minutes and instantly reconnects works without any problems as long as its connected but its very annoying in online games cause every few minutes the games need to reconnect.
Tested on 2.4 and 5 Ghz both the same. Tablet Version was labeled as "R" came with X Firmware.

This requires actual device. But tab 4 8 plus has working boot unlocking and kenrel sources, wonder why no one made it yet.

Thank you very much for this great ROM, works at least during the first hours flawlessly and also regarding responsiveness I cannot note any difference in comparison to the stock ROM. One thing that has been mentioned already: there must be a mistake regarding battery usage: Bluetooth is on the top spot despite being disabled, while WLAN is on the last spot. As I do not note any battery drain I think there must be some kind of confusion regarding the origin of battery usage.

Rom Installed without problems.

I installed apart Magisk for root, Viper and Dolby for better audio, Xposed and Xuimod for faster scrolling.

Google Apps crash

No matter what version of ROM I use Google Apps crash and restart the system and tablet is not for use.
I try MindTheGapps and OpenGapps
I install it immediately after install LineageOS 15.1 ROM
I have the same problem with LineageOS 14.1 ROM (both versions)
About original Lenovo ROM I'm not mention

Is it possible that my problems are no because of software but because of hardware (RAM ,problem with WiFi?)?

I try to use table without GApps but then some apps works and some not. And usually don't work internet browser(no matter which browser I use. Basically I have a tablet without browser and Gapps... so what is a reason to use it anyway?

At now I see only one solution: throw this thing through the window and forget about it.

It's not complaint for your job - I think you do a great job. Probably I do something wrong or my device is broken.

1.) What Version of the Tablet do you have
2.) What Version of TWRP did you install
3.) What wipes did you do in TWRP before installing the ROM ?
4.) What package of OpenGapps are you using with wich rom ? (For testing i would suggest ARM-64 - 8.1 - pico for LOS15 or ARM-64 - 7.1 - pico for LOS 14)
5.) Did you install anything else like Magisk, Xposed, SU ?

Well thats odd because it all sounds right

Maybe you give this a try :

Go to wipe , Advanced Wipe:
Check Dalvik / Art Cache, System, Data, Internal Storage, Cache

After that go back to the Wipe Mainmenu
Click on Format Data (Should normaly not be needed but i would give it a try in this case)

Reboot to recovery after that.

Go to install
Choose the LOS15.1 , click on "Add more Zips" and Choose the OpenGApps ARM-64, 8.1, pico package
when the installing is done click on Sign Boot wait 2 seconds and reboot

Go thru the Setup Wizzard and it all should work.

If this works you can reboot to recovery and flash magisk, i tested with 16 and 16.7 both work here. (Dont forget to click sign boot after that)
