Actually xiaomi devs is the main fault here. The source code they provided are ****ty especially the camera so our devs here are still finding ways. E.g. dark video recording, camera2api/hal3 implementation.
Dark video is due to the cam is switching to 2.1mp mode and not using the full 13mp for it.
I noticed it when i recorded the video and saw the details of it.
I noticed it in Google camera, don't know about other apps. Assuming that all follow the same theory of dark recording.
If any dev can look up and see it we can remove the dark recording bug!
Address me where i am wrong. Would love to learn things!

Hmm as per nichcream it has something to do with exposure not working properly...
hal3 is working just perfect in 8.1 roms! checked it using manual camera app from playstore.. devs know better.. hope they will fix whatever issue it might be! few days ago i was checking OP5T thread they were also complaining GCam isn't working on latest OOS version!!

can't charge phone.. I'm on latest update..
i have to switch off phone to charge.. anybody facing this?

I have not tried manual camera but eay back using 7.1.2 and 8.0 gives instability problems on open camera with cam2api enabled. Manual iso eorks but shutter speed doesnt. Flash shots are ruined when cam2api is enabled
I switch off, connect to charge, when icon charge appear, put on connected. Now are charging..

Phone will charge but there is not LED light implementation and charging animation yet. I will try to include them in next build for sure.
Power it off, plug into charger, it will blink. And you can turn it on. It will blinking whenever you plug or unplug to charger
