SDcard is shown in TWRP as /sdcard1. On some screens there is a button "Select Storage" or similar to choose storage source. Thanks for the reply! Can you help me test the sdcard functionality, is the sdcard can be detected in twrp and lineageos on latest build?
Because I try to put an sdcard but surprisingly the sdcard is not detected at all. I don't know if this is my hardware problem as my n7000 motherboard is a refurb one.
Thanks for testing it out! I guess it is really a hardware problem on my side! I inserted the sdcards in another phone and they worked fine. I'm glad it is not a rom bugSDcard is shown in TWRP as /sdcard1. On some screens there is a button "Select Storage" or similar to choose storage source.
When I format my SDcard as FAT (vFAT), it is detected properly by LineageOS. When I choose exFAT, LineageOS tells me that there is a problem with the SDcard and it needs to format it in order to use it. formatting didn't work correctly from within LineageOS though. I changed FS from TWRP and afterwards LineageOS detected it correctly. So only exFAT is not working.
If it's not detected at all in your phone, check your sdcard on a PC to see if it is a problem of the sdcard or your phone's hardware.
I thought you were talking about Cyanogen KitKat, and not stock. But, before trying anything else, I'm too curious to try your rom, to see how it runs in such an old device. I've read many positive comments, so I think that probably I'll stay with your rom. I like Pie UI too much.I might say kitkat is a good choice :good: Maybe you can try it out first and see how it works?
1GB ram for dalvik should be pretty nice. But kitkat standby time is noticeably shorter compared to newer android. The battery can finish up in just two days standby. If you are on charger then this might not be an issue to you.
This reminds me of the good old days of running CM11 and other CM roms. Somehow I don't feel that thrilled using LineageOS as compared to CyanogenMod. I'm really happy using CM11 back then.
It's ok!I've installed Google Phone and Google Calendar from Playstore.
If I root my phone using your SU zip and then use a system app uninstaller to uninstall the stock calendar and phone system apps in this ROM will my new phone and calendar apps still work?
Similar for Swapping out Trebuchet for Nova Launcher etc?
or am i wasting my time because they'll just get reinstalled with any future OTA update....
Apologies if this is a daft old git question![]()
I speak chinese too! You can private message me so I can guide you in chinese if needed. I'm sorry but the forum only allows english so I can't use chinese here.Hello,I'm a chinese n7000 user. n7000 it's my first phone, but it's very slow now . So I want to find a new rom for it ,but I use xda for the first time. I don't know how to download the rom. Can you teach me
Since Microsoft published exFAT specification recently [1], it will be included in Linux kernel 5.4 going to be released in November. If it's not possible to upgrade to such a new kernel, exFAT support is included in the TWRP image and many LineageOS ROMs. So you can probably find some help there. Thanks for looking into this! Thanks for testing it out! I guess it is really a hardware problem on my side! I inserted the sdcards in another phone and they worked fine. I'm glad it is not a rom bug
It seems like our kernel is missing exfat support, I shall experiment with it when free. My apologies as I'm having my studies so I will be relatively busy. I'm not sure when I will have time again for this.
I think exfat is a must have, I will definitely look into it!
Installed this SU addon and it seems to have worked but please can you post a link to a suitable, working SU manager ?No, I do not support Magisk yet at the moment. To get root access please use official lineageos root. Do not use other root method.

Make sure there is no other root solution installed before flash this zip.
SD card showing for me in TWRP and in System, also shows when connected to PC under MTP optionThanks for the reply! Can you help me test the sdcard functionality, is the sdcard can be detected in twrp and lineageos on latest build?

Will a n7000 mobo fit in a i717 and vice versa?It's ok!
I doubt if you will have problems with calling. I did suggest to stay with the stock phone app. For the calendar yeah it shouldn't be an issue.
If you are installing as a user app, as long as the package name does not conflicts then future OTA updates shouldn't affect it. But if the stock copy is uninstalled then definitely it will be installed back.

Theres a slight difference for the sim card and sdcard slot, I'm not sure if it will fit well. Will a n7000 mobo fit in a i717 and vice versa?
The su manager is managed by the lineageos system. You can control it in Developer Options.Installed this SU addon and it seems to have worked but please can you post a link to a suitable, working SU manager ?
thanksI managed to install fde.ai v6.2 and one or two other root apps via twrp.
is there a way to uninstall addon SU if i decide i don't want root anymore?
thanks.
I haven't tried fmradio yet. The fm radio stuffs are untouched. I checked but the fm radio modules are there. Can you verify if it gets loaded during boot by checking at kmsg.Spirit2.apk does not work. Sorry, but FM radio cannot be started. The kernel does not contain information about hardware fm radio. Is it possible to add this in the next version of the kernel?
Thankyou. This ROM continues to impressEDIT: Heres the uninstaller

My apologies, since pie we've moved blobs to the vendor directory. The spirit2 looks for the fmdriver using the old /system path thus the driver is not found. How to verify?
Can you install spirit2.apk to test? In version RR 7.1.2 the FM Radio application works very well! Thank you!
Thanks a long for your help and great work!My apologies, since pie we've moved blobs to the vendor directory. The spirit2 looks for the fmdriver using the old /system path thus the driver is not found.
As a workaround, create a folder named "modules" under /system/lib, and the copy /system/vendor/lib/modules/Si4709_driver.ko to /system/lib/modules. Then spirit2 should be working.
It works great for me! Didn't listen to fm radio for years, nice to listen on n7000 today! I will get it fixed should there be any future update.
