yes gps is most probably buggy, although I am getting 7 or 8 fixes after around one minute with gps status.
Left sensor button settings or change, for example long press to screen out, I can confirm that it is not working and is not changing the behavior. I guess that could be fixed with changes in overlay. Will have a look at it for next update. But gps I am quite sure, cannot be fixed easily and especially not by me, sorry.

Hello i after using it for a week I can say my opinion, the camera takes a long time to open not all the apps work some after they start close. phone part more serious error always tells me sim found please restart.tired of the continuous reboots I preferred to remove and go back to android 7.1 (Resurrection Remix) much more stable and with no error in general and a good start the job is a lot but it is not possible to use every day thanks for this work

Camera is opening not to bad in my opinion and regarding to that we had always issues or problems with the camera and custom roms in the past. So for this it is no working so bad with leo 16. btw have you used the latest update with snap camera? or have you tried any other camera app? Another btw whether someone can use it as a daily driver depends on his usage and necessaires. I am quite sure that this never will become a fully working rom for this device, also because there are very less devs left for the device and rom devs are already working on leo17.1. It is more or less a nice to have and for someone like me for some calls, some whatsnews and texting and some internet browsing, its quite good and stable in my opinion.

I think the issue here is that the "menu button" is mapped as "recents button" but in settings it shows up an "menu button" which is not mapped to the physical button so it won´t take effect if you change this.
I guess it gets fixed if you choose the recents button to show up in settings .

BTW i found another fix when comparing sec_touchkey.kl from i9300 and i9305 >
key 139 is "MENU VIRTUAL" on i9300, shows up menu button item in settings and is configurable.
key 139 on i9305 on the other hand, is mapped to "APP_SWITCH VIRTUAL" so changing this to "MENU VIRTUAL" get´s the job done
The file is located in /system/usr/keylayout/sec_touchkey.kl and i can confirm it works by changing button mappings like this.

Yes with android 10 all things would be solved and rom and device will work better
Currently there is no hope of getting ten for our device, at the moment it is not even booting.

Hello @rodman01, great work with this ROM (I can't get working SIM on RR 7.1 and on this ROM is just working), I hope we get LTE soon
I tested NFC with credit card reader and phone see cards. I got a several times "SIM card added, reboot phone" but I didn't and it's working anyway.

EDIT: Did someone passed SafetyNet? I need this to use bank app with NFC, my xiaomi doesn't have NFC so I back to S3

Problem would be that it is not only done with including the latest commits, such as here for march. No I would need to include them from february onwards last year. And as far as I remember I have tried to do that a couple of months ago for an other device and failed, because its not only merging or cherry picking the commits to the existing RR repos, no in many of the RR repos there are more changes needed or some security changes cannot be included. RR repos are for example framework base and settings, which are very specific and different to leos sources. Sure it could be done somehow and for someone, but for me and in my opinion it is not worth. With pure leos rom it is easier, its "only" a new sync of the sources and it in most of the cases its done again. Sometimes the device repos need to be adjusted, but usually not.

Additionally the key mapping fix is included. Other device and kernel changes are not made.
GPS is at my side worse now, don't know why and what caused this.
Anyways: for me I am getting several satellites, but no fix with gps status.

Thank you for upgrading the i9305 which my son uses. This model is quite sufficient to telephone and use the internet.
Here is my return.
The wifi connection is not stable. It is enough that the signal weakens a little bit for it to disconnect.
Energy management by android may be the cause.

I reinstalled the last rom stock. I have the same problem with the wifi connection. It is not stable.
So this does not come from the wifi management of this new ROM.
Our I9305 may be at the end of its life.

Please check the i9300 section, there is already a leos version and also some others available.
And this already long before we have got it for i9305.
