WiFi is ultra slow dropping down to ~3-6Mbps. Found out the issue is NearbyMessagingService by google play services from gitlab.com/LineageOS/issues/android/issues/371 . Apparently it is fixed in a nightly version of LOS on Nov 1 2019 while I believe current build here is 2019-04-14. Is it possible to update to this version/current version or will I just have to find an app to auto kill NearbyMessagingService every time it attempts to start it up?

Hi people, I install ROM LineageOS-16.0 is all ok, but them looking my WIFI don't work. Do you have solution?
I brought it up nearly a year ago. This ROM is ancient and needs to be updated to current times. The issue was fixed 7 months after the rom was uploaded, so you have to compile it yourself since it appears that he's not going to update it. The issue is "NearbyMessagingService" so you can disable that and wifi will be somewhat usable but still terrible. Use some sort of startup stopper/task killer to always kill that process on boot seems to be the temporary solution until a real update gets made. There are virtually no guides on how to compile on windows, so you have to do it on a VM on Linux which takes forever due to it being a VM along with grabbing prereqs. Or actually dedicate a decent computer (8+cores,16+GB RAM) to use only Linux (or suffer from long compiling times). I'll eventually try to figure out how it works and see if I can make a stable enough build, which is unlikely to happen until I get better computer components.

It also looks like he is doing somewhat current crDroid releases which are based on Lineage, so that could probably fix all those old issues. I'll probably test them out when I get the time to do so. The download is within the same link as the old 2019-04-14 release.
