@lower saxony
I have LOS 17.1 made by arco68 running, but it crashes way too often, from twrp i formated system to exfat and f2fs , no option for exfat2 but same error 7 :(
Was my fault, correct is exfat
Important is also to update your Bootloader and your Modem.

Also to make a full wipe / clean install.

I dont think i have updated my bootloader nor the modem, I had stock firmware, then i installed trwp 3.4 with odin, booted into recovery and after wiping everything i tried flashing PE, but got error 7. I tried removing the asserts from the updater_script file inside the rom, but getting error 7 anyways, so i gess the device is properly recognized and correct. But i am sure i didnt flash anything else. when i enter download mode it says "system status: official" does that mean i have stock bootloader ?

thanks in advance

Anyone been able to get this rom installed on i9195 aswell on the other variants? Error 7 in TWRP! Tried both PE & PE+ Also tried formatting exfat but not possible, after rebooting recovery it shows vfat, wether in official TWRP nor in arco68's LOS 17.1 TWRP. It shows "System not mounted (invalid argument)" - on both TWRP the same result. Did full wipe of course before trying to install.

@ ripee please have a look or give us some useful instructions to install your rom.

Edit: modem and bootloader on latest release aswell

In TWRP's main menu, go to Mount, then make sure "Mount system partition read-only" is UNCHECKED. Then you need to format (NOT just wipe) all of the partitions (except your SD card, if you have one in your phone of course). You must start with the Data partition. Then go one by one, formatting each partition. You may get an error when trying to format the cache partitions, but that's ok. Verify that they all properly formatted by factory resetting under in the Wipe section.

I'm starting to believe that PE on serrano may not be a good idea unless and until someone figures out how to re-size the system partition. This phone has a small system partition and Q gapps are pretty big, so there's not much space for the rom and gapps in the system partition.

Use the Pico Gapps.

It's a shame, your ROM is the Best one. Why don't You try removing some gapps or may be just create the flashable zip without gapps? In that way we could use the pico gapps or the aroma installer just to install the apps we actually need.

Pixel Experience is intended to emulate a stock Google Pixel experience. This experience includes the stock set of gapps. I have asked a number of PE rom devs and none of them know how to restrict which gapps are installed or not installed. If you want a rom without gapps, PE is not the rom for you.
