Have you tried using another camera?

If you mean another camera app, then yes,i did!
I tried the one already present in the ROM and three from f-droid,one by one, with no avail.
The logcat just reports that "the camera service is unavailable".

I've deleted the cache of the apps.
I've reflashed the ROM and the stock kernel from the recovery.
I've tried everything i found in this site,but nothing,it didn't turn on.

This morning i flashed the most recent stock rom and everything returned to normal,so i don't think it's a problem related to the hardware.

The problem is probably some missing blobs or kernel related, not hardware related

Hello, please make this rom stable for daily usage everything working including sim cards!
SerjSX (and others), I'm afraid there's nothing happing around this ROM in case you haven't followed it closely. Your options are either debloading the stock rom or use debloaded custom roms based on Samsung stock rom. As far as LOS goes I'm waiting myself to be picked up and maintained by some established dev. I ended up debloading my phone but my result/expierince has been so so, not really happy about it. Definitley would be better to have pure LOS, that's why I keep coming back every other day or so looking for any news.

Sad, this phone is great and deserves it.

a71n is a codename ''alias'' thats exactly the same device with another name :') A715F/DS is a71 (real codename) but some people call it a71n for any reason ( i never understand why :') )
I cant understand. I have the a715F. Does this rom work in my device or not? How many variants are for the a71??? Sorry I couldnt understand you :(

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

      Instructions:

      • Make sure you're already unlcoed your bootloader
      • Make sure you're already flash Lineage Recovery made by me
      • Reboot to recovery
      • flash lineageos build
      • flash "stock-a71n" zip ( i will explain it why in second post
      • flash gapps
      • reboot
If you gapps, magisk or any zip showing "failed to mount system" please reboot the recovery.

      Reporting Bugs:

      • Make sure the bug you want to report isn't already known
      • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
      • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
      • If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
      • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
      • Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Awesome. i just tried it out on my Samsung galaxy a71 and everything seems to be working OK. however i have noticed a few small issues. the proximity sensor when making phone calls does not work and double tap to wake is not present in settings. also the WiFi network signal is rather weak compared to the Stock Rom. if you need me to send over some logs i would be happy to

Here is the current situation. I've made this ROM running with stock vendor, so that we need to use stock "image kernel" to works.
if you're curious to know what will happen if you're not using stock "image" kernel i am allowing you to not flash "stock-a71n.zip"

feel free to contribute to this project.
