Did you update the firmware? I use the latest firmware and don't have microphone issues. I also have a curtana device.Hi all.
I successfully installed the official LineageOS. To sum up
- follow steps here: https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/miatoll/install
- I had already install the unoficial LOS of this thread, so I skip the installation of the latest MIUI as confirmed above.
Therefore, I
- from computer: adb installed lineage recovery
- from computer: adb boot into recovery
- on phone's LOS recovery mode: clear data etc..
- then from computer: adb sideload
- reboot, enjoy
- I added opengapps (see LOS website links) following the same steps starting from the recovery mode of course (no need to erase any data).
- Similarly, I added the last version of magisk to root the phone.
After installation completed, I was stuck on three main issues so far:
• Google contact app : I installed "open_gapps-arm64-11.0-nano-20211021" as recommended on the official LineageOS link. But google contact app doesn't sync with my account. It asks to sign in even tough I have already log into my google account globally in the phone. Thus, when trying to sign in again in google contact app, it says "This account already exists on your device". All other google apps works fine (maps, gmail, play store,..). I tried to clear cache and reinstall the app + reboot. No success. Any similar issue? Any idea/solution?
• Here is the detailed solution for Safety net issue: At first it didn't pass with magisk hide only. More exactly, I got only "cts profile match fail". I installed safety net fix from here, nothing. I also followed the instructions here as well, not much success either.
==> I therefore used the MagiskHide Props Config as suggested above, and it works! Just follows the steps in an emulated terminal.
- Type "su" in a terminal emulator (tmux for example). Then grant access. Then type "props"
- Select option "1, edit device fingerprint".
- "f, certified vendor"
- "25, redmi" (not Xiaomi! I made the mistake, and was quite disappointed to not finding redmi 9s in the list ^^
- "16, redmi note 9s global", worked for me. I own the redmi 9s "Curtana". Don't know for the other models.
• The phone speaker issue remains: when calling, toggling the speaker mutes the microphone. The person you call can't hear you anymore. I got the same issue with the unofficial LOS. I think one solution was to remove one of the two sim cards (second slot if I remember correctly). But haven't tried since I need both sim cards.
Firmware question: I'm using a Joyeuse (Redmi Note 9 Pro Global). Latest firmware is July 30th. Battery drain issue overnight.
Searching for Curtana, I find Global Pro firmware as of Sept 27th. Has anyone successfully flashed this zip on Joyeuse? Khalerl, is this what you've done?
Edit: tried to flash it through stock recovery but couldn't: "error this firmware is for Curtana but device is Joyeuse"

Yep, seems to be my only option. Just wish my standby was better. Phone's 16 months old and battery drains 20 percent overnight. My wife's stock Samsung with all their bloatware is doing better.
Nope. Classroom doesn't work with microg. Gmail also has some issues. I had to download a way older version to make it work. Meet also doesn't work I believe. Haven't checked till sometime ago.
Yes I did, and the problem persist.
I haven't tried to remove the second sim card yet (since this seems to be the problem), but as soon as I'll test that I'll bring feedback here.

Copiare con root Explorer in system vendor etc.
Dare i permessi rw r r a tutti i file copiati.
Riavviare fatto.

The included camera app is ok, but won't let you use the other lenses, and I often use the macro lens. This was solved by using this camera app:

Hi, is it possible (or recommended) to restore xiaomi.eu data partition after flashing LineageOS?
I really want to switch from "stock" to LOS but I don't want to loose my corona app data which AFAIK can not be restored with TitatniumBackup.

LineageOS 18.1 is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Flash instructions :
Use latest pbr recovery for miatol, supports decryption - beta available here, https://pitchblackrecovery.com/joyeuse/.
DO NOT - Wipe data!, ONLY FORMAT, otherwise you may hose the phone.
There is a way to fix this without the fastboot factory clean, flash and lock with the official Xiaomi tool, which was forcing you to clean and lock... now available here: https://github.com/Szaki/XiaomiADBFastbootTools
If you hose the phone, use this tool - you need to install JRE though, as the tool is Java base. Put your phone is fastboot, use the tool to download the latest global rom (or whichever). Then go to where its downloaded, extract the .xy/tar file, then go back into the tool and under "image" select the folder INSIDE the folder you just extracted, then select "clean install" and install it. This will flash the majority of imgs but will error out at the end and be unable to create the "user data" partition.
That's okay, because all of the partitions will be setup again, and you can flash any rom you want again. So when its done, and still in fastboot, fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (recovery.img being the latest joyeuse pbr recovery, you renamed to recovery.img and were in that folder in the command prompt, so it will flash that recovery) or use the tool to select that recovery and it will flash it for you and reboot into for you if you like.
(Do this step last, after Magisk, if you want to unencrypt, no worries if you don't unencrypt - PBR recovery will decrypt your dataON THE SECOND TRY OF ENTERING YOUR SCREENLOCK PIN NUMBER...), the new PBR Miatol Beta 10/14/20, fixes this issue, it is now decrypted on the first entry of the phone's lockscreen PIN. Then flash disable_dm-verity_forceencrypt.zip available here for those who want decrypted data partition: https://zackptg5.com/android.php#disverfe and other places as well.
If you are encrypted and decide to unencrypt later, you will need to flash the disable_dm-verity_forceencrypt.zip in miatol recovery, then format data. Store roms, gapps, recoveries (just in case), disable_dm-verity, magisk install and uninstall and all that stuff on the SD card, so you can use them in PBR after you format DATA (the first step after installing PBR miatol recovery), just FYI. Then do the following:
Flash ROM
Flash OpenGAPPS for android 11 nano
Boot into android, make sure its working and install Magisk Manager 8.0.7, then reboot into recovery and install Magisk 21.4 (in recovery, I did not need to extract the boot.img and patch in Magisk Manager, and reboot into recovery to flash the patched boot.img, but your results may be different): https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases. If you want to unencrypt (no guarantees its permanent though) you need to format data, THEN FLASH MAGISK, then flash disable_dm-verity (always the last step)- I usually wipe dalvik and cache too.
USE LATEST MIATOL PBR RECOVERY, PLEASE.
SD card issues resolved with the implementation of the EXFat android driver.

Please note this is a unified release, you should do a clean install unless you're coming from a unified ROM alreadyl.

I spent the day yesterday investigating my comment:
I found the same exact problem in various other roms.
Before clean-flashing those roms I installed the most recent firmware
( fw_joyeuse_miui_JOYEUSEEEAGlobal_V12.0.2.0.QJZEUXM_53af718a4c_10.0.zip )
Only the stock ROM and once "aftermarket" ROM [Fluid 1.2 (20210219) ] so far does not have the silent mic problem (so, together with having used a sound recorder app, I know the hardware is still good . . .)
I have tested MANY others and they all have one or both of the two LineageOS 18/18.1 problems (no mic on calls or no ear speaker on non-speakerphone calls). Additionally, most of these will immediately drop calls made with an area code except the first call immediately after reboot.

I hesitated to install this earlier as it already seems abandoned (no updates since 2021-01-01 even though there have been 3 security patches for AOSP since then). Visually this is the nicest of the above ROMs in my opinion. Elegant default background. Fun bootanimation.
Hurrah! This ROM has working ear speaker and microphone (but only after first switching on speakerphone).
Unfortunately, calls with area code immediately fail after dialing them. This is another consistent problem on A11 miatoll ROMs. Dealbreaker until fixed.
