This is an UNOFFICIAL port of Avatar ROM which is available for almost 25 other devices...

Love the minimal feel of CM? Love the themeing capability of MIUI?
The Avatar team brings you, both combined in one ROM. Now enjoy beautiful MIUI themes on Cyanogen base.

Details:

  • Android JB - 4.1.2
  • CM10

Instructions:

If it's the first time flashing avatarrom or coming from another ROM
  • Install ClockworkMod Recovery.
  • Do a NANDroid backup of your current ROM from backup/restore menu.
  • Wipe Data/Factory Reset & Wipe cache partition
  • Flash the zip file from Download link 1.
  • Reboot the device. It should boot without any problems.
  • Reboot into recovery, flash the zip file from Download link 2.
  • Reboot the device.
  • Flash gapps.
  • Enjoy the ROM.

Our Changes:

  • The platform for avatarrom as of now is CM10. The following components are changed on top CM10.
  • Status Bar
    • Toggles page to contain controls for toggles
    • Fixed memory leaks
  • Theme Chooser
    • Has an online theme server - head here and download cool MIUI converted themes.
    • Changed the layout
    • Added previews
  • Bazooka Launcher (market link)
    • Own launcher which is an enhanced version of Trebuchet (you can download this at the end of this post)
    • Enhanced theming by adding dockbar
    • Preview mode to edit workspaces
  • Messaging App
    • Changed message thread to make them themeable
  • Boot Animation
    • A beautiful boot animation - will be made themeable in upcoming versions
  • Settings
    • Changed statistics to point to Avatar statistics server
    • OTA updater - you can check for updates to Avatar right from your device
    • Changed to support Avatar ROMs
    • Support for Gapps - download latest Gapps package as an OTA update
  • Framework
    • Integrated with ACRA Error Reporter for system wide crashes
  • Lockscreen
    • Changed to make them themeable
    • Support for complex unlock gestures

  • USB mount problem fixed. Both internal and external memory can be mounted.
  • White rectangle in Messaging application fixed.

  • Camera working. (Thanks to gladmax for the fix).
  • Full support for font theming including 3rd party apps.
  • Battery level issues/usb connection random issues fixed.

Definitely going to give this a try later, hoping it's stable! Thanks! Quick question though, does it do pop up quick messages like MIUI? That's one of my favorite parts of that rom.

is there any call delay bug in this rom ?(people cant hear my voice a few seconds when i answer the call)

i hope not ..

edit: does it has multilang ?

Great rom..very smooth and fast..but found little bug...cannot use data,only call and sms..also native camera not working..btw thank you

    Yes, we are working on a 4.2.2 version as well for the Atrix and you will see an update very soon(hopefully this weekend). But there are also some isssues on 4.2.2 for which we dont have a fix yet(bluetooth and other issues).
    Also we are trying to get started with building JB with the kernel from the thread by mmontuori. Will keep you posted on that when we make progress.

    Yup, Avatar ROM has had a lot of bug fixes and minor modifications to make it even more stable. So an update with some of their latest changes is due.
    Apart from that, some of the issues I will be looking into will be:
    1) Bluesleep fix. I think this issue drains battery when bluetooth is ON.
    2) Atrix battery fix by ravilov. Will try and see if this patch can be made a part of the ROM.
    3) Boot animation size fix (this will definitely be done in the next update, also applying a theme also changes boot animation in latest version of Avatar ROM).

    Please report any other issues you would like to see fixed. You can also post a feature request on Avatar ROMs page if you have some feature you would really like to see on the Avatar ROM.

    A word about donations, though some people have PMed me about making a donation. Please direct your donations to either Epinter or mmontuori. These guys are doing a great job keeping the Atrix alive and awesome. :highfive:
