Next update will have some new wifi changes, but it's hard to determine since wifi is working ok here, using iperf3 I get around 20mb/s on 5ghz and no disconnects, and 2ghz works ok, it could be a region issue but without logs it's hard to tell.

if you could provide a logcat it would help find the cause.
i have returned los 17.1 now, sorry for that. when i was on colt 7.3, i have got not only wifi issue, and the systemui crashed several times, so i restore my los backup immediately.

ok no problem, the systemui crash (like when first time going into colt decorations or opening settings) is due to colt or the android source, I get it on all my devices, maybe in colt 7.4 it will be fixed.....

I noticed this bug too,
Sometimes if you have a 5Ghz and a 2Ghz network it won't show the other while connected, it has something to do with the prefixes on the AP i think, ie 5G, 2G, 5Ghz 2Ghz ..etc , but if the Ap has no prefix it seems to show up....

To see the 2ghz network first forget the currently connected 5ghz one, then it should show up when scanning.

Btw what is your issue with wifi disconnects or just the scanning problem?

Thanks for the log, this seems like a kernel bug for the prima driver, other devices that have the prima driver are also getting this error, something to do with "802.11w Management Frame Protection"

Could you check your router to see if you have an option to enable / disable that, I'll have to dig through some of my routers to see if any have that feature.

otyg,

Thank you very much for your very hard work & continued updates! Very much appreciated.

As others have already written, breathed new life into a very old (in technology age) tablet.

Just downloaded & updated to the latest Tipsy version without issue. And most everything works for me:

Sound
BT
Wi-Fi (both 2.4 & 5)
Tablet to PC cable connection for file transfer
Successfully used a 128GB microSDXC memory card to extend the 16GB of internal storage. Although occasionally it comes up as corrupted but a simple reboot 'refreshes' recognition.

The only thing I can't get working is direct file transfers from the tablet to a memory device using an OTG cable adapter. I've tried two different OTG cable adapters without any success. The tablet recognizes that a memory device has been connected to the OTG cable adapter but won't allow actual access. Not without re-formatting the memory device. All the memory devices I've tested on this tablet have worked just fine on multiple other Android devices without issue so it's not a memory device issue. And from research I just conducted, the stock ROM was able to access multiple memory devices (flash memory, external HDDs, etc) without issue. So it's something to do with this ROM. I think.

And as a FWIW, Google is now registering my SM-T320 as a Pixel 5.

And finally, a request? Would it be possible to add double tap to wake up the tablet under "Gestures"? Double tap works to put it to sleep but not to wake it. I've just been using the power button but it would definitely be a "nice to have" feature.

Thanks again!

Have you done a clean flash? I've got no problem accessing and writing to OTG storage.

adb (usb) is broken. When I try to connect from my computer I get the following:

* daemon not running; starting now at tcp:5037
* daemon started successfully
List of devices attached
988a94130634ca7f no permissions (missing udev rules? user is in the plugdev group); see [http://developer.android.com/tools/device.html]

Maybe you wanna have a look at this issue. Sometimes it's quite useful to just attach the device with an usb cable. But it's not that critical, Wireless debugging is working fine.

Usb ADB works OK here I use it all the time, try toggling USB debugging on / off / on in developer options, or Revoke USB debugging authorizations, it should re-prompt for authorization when you connect.

it could also be a bad usb cable or charge only, try another cable and see if it helps :)

This worked for me aswell! Thanks!

I'm getting reboots if I try to change from charging to file transfer when the Tablet is attached to a PC via USB.
Does anyone else has this problem?

Seems to work ok here, i'll do some more tests though to see if I can break it on my end.
    2
Just a quick update I fixed Miracast and will be available in the next build, currently working on selinux enforcing (just finished up a million selinux rules, everything is working but needs a few users to test before I make it final), I may have a beta for everyone to test tonight or tommorow, it will require a clean flash though.

Also sorta fixed MHL support (anyone still use MHL?), it does have a bug where it will freeze display if screen turns off though, but works fine as long as the display is on...

Increased performance quite a bit too.

my wifi doesnt work well at 7.3, neither 5G nor 2.4G. it can only connect to my iPhone hotspot.

Next update will have some new wifi changes, but it's hard to determine since wifi is working ok here, using iperf3 I get around 20mb/s on 5ghz and no disconnects, and 2ghz works ok, it could be a region issue but without logs it's hard to tell.

I am getting the next update ready (probably sometime in july 5~10) , let me know if you have any suggestions to improve this rom.

    Upcoming fixes
    1. wireless display audio issue is completely fixed. (tablet will be muted, sound will output on tv only)
    2. minimized debug info and include the art release runtime.
    3. rom is official .
    4. OTA updates, however it would seem our official twrp doesn't support OTA, it just reboots to recovery and doesn't install the zip .....
Note: I can include OTA support but when it reboots to recovery you would have to manually select the update from /data/colt_updates/ and install it... this is a TWRP bug not my fault.

What do you think about OTA,? also I am looking for feedback on the microphone changes, did it fix the issues / make it worse or improve at all?

    Device Tree Fix-ups
Miracast is partially fixed, I am still trying to fix the audio issue, but for now it can cast to tv, if you need to mute the audio I suggest plugging in headphones turning volume up then connect to a miracast device and audio should be output on tv where you can adjust volume levels.
Microphone(s) should be improved, let me know if they are too loud or still not working properly .
Smart Charging is partially working but I only included this as a test, it will turn off charger at full trigger level (this prevents battery from constantly trickle charging or if the battery has problems reaching 100 we can stop it at 80% for example, the main issue is when the battery depletes past the preset low trigger it's supposed to charge back to the full trigger for proper behavior, our device is broken in this respect, so I disabled the low trigger in this build, so just be aware once the charging is stopped it will run on battery until the device shutdowns / reboots or is re-plugged in...(*only if smart charging is enabled)
AOD - Fixed, I set it to the lowest brightness. (this device has a power hungry LCD), Supported modes: Always On, Charging Only & New Notifications).
Fixed button mapping, it was showing a non existent 'menu' key, now it has been properly mapped to the recent/overview key.
Fixed notification permission access, "this feature is not available on this device ",
Fixed draw over other apps permission.
    Fixed other permission popup dialogs.
Fixed Split-Screen Note: (you need to map the split-screen action to a button first, this can be done under "Settings -> ColtEnigma -> Buttons -> Buttons -> (select a button's long press or double tap action), Custom Action -> Split-Screen."), or under the recent switcher press the middle app icon and select 'Split-Screen'.
Removed Notification LED settings since our device doesn't have a notification LED.
Many more fixes, it should be a lot more smooth and responsive now.

Clean flash is recommended but you can try dirty.

    Edit:
I fixed the Wireless Display Audio issue

Speaker volume really low on 7/14 build for me.

Thanks for the report, I will fix it in the next update, or if you have root / twrp access with attached file you can replace the file under /system/vendor/etc/mixer_paths.xml to restore the volume levels.
