Hey there !

I'm probably going to launch stupid questions below but since I'm going to flash my wife's phone (she's having issues with latest Samsung firmware), you will understand there's no place to fail :silly: This is not my first flash but first on a Samsung.

First, I have read somewhere that Samsung has no locked bootloader, is this right ? If so, then, one less step :)

Second, it's written in OP to have 5.0.2 bootloader and modem ... but since the latest upgrade installed 6.0.1 firmware, can I just leave it "as is" or have to downgrade both ?

Third, I've read in Samsung A series threads there's screen rotation issues and frozen touchscreen after call ... Is this rom concerned by these or just isolated bugs ? Once again, not my phone and always keep in mind >>> FLASH YOUR WIFE'S PHONE CAREFULLY ! :D

PS : @ninelore don't call emergency with a note 7 or you will probably really need them :cyclops: (OK, I'm leaving ....)

Bootloader wasn't Locked in my Case (Got an FU with DBT Firmware preinstalled).
But make it sure by search the Development Optiins for an Unlock Option

Newer Bootloader / Modem shouldn't ve a problem.

The only Bug sometimes the Touchscreen freezes afer a Call.
Workaround: Your Wife should end the Call first, not the Person at the other end. If it happens, press VolDown + Power for 10 sec for an hard reboot.

An other annoying Bug is if you disable touch key vibration, the Phone vibrates randomly for short

Thx Mate,

I could probably fastboot OEM unlock to ensure the next steps.
Does the touchscreen freezes often or not ? This could really prevent me to switch to CM. I can't believe to explain her that's it's a known bug and she has to live with this lol

For the other bug, can't we just completely disable vibrations ?

If you Have a Call and the opposite guy end the call first.

the other Bug only appears if you disable the Vibration of the two touch keys. And this random vibrations hapens not often

I wouldn't flash this ROM for my wife, or any custom ROM. It is better to stay on stock, all custom ROM has quite a lot of bugs, I mentioned it on other posts...

I've seen / used many pretty stable roms, but since it's not m'y device, I cannot test by myself if this this one is enough. Otherwise, I shall have done it since ages. Regarding stock, not sure it's more stable than custom roms, even more from Samsung. On my side, I'm done with Samsung because of stability issues. Many employees in my firm claimed to have one and many got issues after upgrades ... Same for my wife I warned before buying. Devs here make an awesome job and track bugs hundred times faster than trademarks.

Anyway, I won't flash this one until there's a solution for the screen freeze. The only thing that retains me to switch. I'll follow this thread to check evolution :)

Hey... using this rom few weeks. Works great! No reboots or other trouble... ThX 4 this!

Did there any updates in future for this one or only then cm14?
I want not to go to cm14. This rom works perfect for this time. Updates in future for cm13 would be nice :)
