This thread was originally a 15.1 thread. It was later updated for 16, and old download links to 15.1 were removed. That's why there's no separate 15.1 thread anywhere; this was it. Other websites linking to a 15.1 thread also link this thread. I'm not the first to ask about this here btw.
I'd rather go back to 15.1 because battery life. Android 10 gives me Bluetooth issues (stuttering), which is a problem since I use bluetooth IEMs almost exclusively. Android 9 gives me poorer battery life as compared to 8. I honestly don't care about being on the latest android with all the best features. I don't even use google apps anymore. My phone literally only has spotify, a notepad and an openstreetsmap navigation. That's it. I care about battery life and stability, not features.
I've very, very happy with this LOS 16.0 and battery life. System is also GApps-free and running with microG, signature spoofing patched by Smali. Magisk v20.4, Riru EdXposed v0.4.6.1, Riru Core v21.3.
I won't ever "upgrade" to Android 10 or higher. And we walk both the same way: Stability & battery life but features stay in the fifth row. No banking or anything else that require SafetyNet to be passed.
As I'm currently and already for a very long time very satisfied with this ROM, my system and its battery usage I only run a BBS idle dump just once a month.
Here I've shared my latest.
0.3%/hour while screen is off is very fine with me.
Conditions: WiFi enabled, mobile data disabled, GPS disabled and location mode on saving, Bluetooth disabled. My email client (FairEmail) and my messenger (Conversations) are not battery-optimised. Contacts and calendar are synchronised with my email provider (posteo.de) via DAVx5. AFWall+, Adaway and XPrivacyLua; latter the only reason for running EdXposed. Since I'm on LOS 16.0 I've removed Greenify from the system as no longer required; LOS 16.0 does a great doze job.
