Thank you for this ROM @DarkJoker360!

5 Mhz Wifi is less stable than with 17.1 Lineageos?

5 MHz was never really good on Lineageos 17.1 for ginkgo nor willow (we have both ones here).
But with 18.1 it got worse now on ginkgo. It looses connection even when standing 1 meter away from the access point.

This is an Atheros AR9580 access point at channel 36 (5.180 GHz), OpenWRT.
Pixel 3 with factory default Android 11 connects fine to the same access point at 5 Mhz, even when leaving the building.

Updated ginkgo yesterday from 17.1, did a clean install:
  • european ginkgo, bought 2021-01, hardware 3.29.0
  • twrp-3.5.2_9-1-ginkgo
  • fw_ginkgo_miui_GINKGOEEAGlobal_V12.0.3.0.RCOEUXM_c6ad8ae9a8_11.0
  • lineage-18.1-20210815-UNOFFICIAL-ginkgo
  • open_gapps-arm64-11.0-nano-20210825
  • baseband displayed: .1-00270-NICOBAR_GEN_PACK-1.380402.1.388696.6
Anything I should add to further analyze it or is this already known / expected?

2.4 GHz Wifi works fine.

Reading helps: "Updated blobs from MIUI 12.0.2.0 Global Stable"

So lineage-18.1-20210815-UNOFFICIAL-ginkgo overwrote fw_ginkgo_miui_GINKGOEEAGlobal_V12.0.3.0.RCOEUXM

Reinstalled fw_ginkgo_miui_GINKGOEEAGlobal_V12.0.3.0.RCOEUXM and this improved signal strenght.

But there are still more connection drops than with 17.1, seems it was more fault tolerant than 18.1 is.

For anyone interested in using microG with this ROM:

It was not possible for me to enable the required Signature Spoofing through LSposed with FakeGApps by thermatk. Then I discovered that it did not support Android 11 (see github issue) but that the fork by whew-inc supposedly does. So I downloaded the latest apk from April 7th 2021 and installed and then enabled it in LSposed. After the mandatory reboot unfortunately signature spoofing was not working/supported, neither in the microG Self-Check nor in the Signature Spoofing Checker app.

My solution: I went through the instructions by user @Kingslayer9988 from here: Signature Spoofing on unsuported Android 11 (R) Roms
Now microG is working with signature spoofing enabled!

Strange behavior in TWRP after update to last build (September):
I am unencrypted (an reconfirmed this also after dirty flashing the new build followed by a DFE flashing as usual) but when booting into TWRP now a dialogue pops up "Mount - Decrypt Data - Enter Password for User [0]". I can cancel this and apparently have access to /data/media anyway. If I remove in LOS18.1 the lockscreen password, this dialogue does not appear when booting to TWRP. But as soon as I set again a lockscreen password, this dialogue appears again. I already flashed another TWRP version but this doesn't change anything.

Anybody here having an explanation or solution (w/o formatting /data)?

I assumed the question was about the original thread. But anyways according to your link the flashing method is the same except you have to flash dfe and don't have to flash fw.
I didn't flash it (edit: A12) but understood from the group comments that a) formatting (!) data may be necessary, b) the dfe referenced in DarkJoker's download section should be used and c) that attention should be paid to the custom recovery (latest OFox e. g.). But pls tell us if dirty flashing works.

I am using this ROM from past 8 days. Everything is good except any copy/move to/from usb otg, is changing the date/timestamp of files.

I didn't face this in 17.1.

Any work around?
Sure! Use this file manager:

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.
