[ROM][OFFICIAL][ginkgo][11] LineageOS 18.1 for Redmi Note 8 / 8T

installed this update via the in ROM updater and now stuck on bootscreen.
i absolutely cannot afford to clean flash. what can i do?
I was on the December 30 release of this ROM which i had clean flashed so didn't have encryption woes
Currently running LineageOS 17.1 (official, DarkJoker) now.
Will it survive a dirty upgrade to LineageOS 18.1 (also DarkJoker)?
I know; not recommended just curious if anyone tried and succeeded

do a clean flash
That's unfortunate to hear. 17.1 is very good except for lacking front cam. Is it because of amount of work or some technical difficulties? Anything somebody could help with?

The call screen of the dialer application does not work.
The screen simply does not appear when receiving or making calls.
I installed the F-Droid's Simple Dialer as a workaround.
I would be very grateful for a solution.

Fast charging does not work on Chinese devices. (I try)
This is a common problem with all Android 11 custom ROMs.
Maybe this is a kernel problem, and flashing another kernel could fix it.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

- DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
- Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
- If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
- If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
