LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8.1 (Oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

What's working :

  • Boots
  • RIL (Calls, SMS, Data)
  • VoLTE
  • Wifi
  • Bluetooth
  • Camera
  • Video Playback
  • Audio

What's not working :
  • AGPS

Instructions :
  • Download the latest build and gapps
  • Reboot to recovery
  • Flash the latest build and gapps
  • Reboot
Downloads :
Reporting Bugs
  • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
  • If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
  • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

I'm having a problem after installing this ROM on my phone.
My cell phone has PIN locking before starting and after the TWRP reset, it is not recognizing the PIN I have always used.
Does this have anything to do with the bug in android 8 that I've heard people commenting on mobile phones pixels?
If anyone can, explain to me what I should do or at least what I did wrong.

Why do these things always happen to me? :crying::crying::crying:
Everyone is enjoying Android 8.1 and only me who have not had the chance to feel it on my phone.
So encryption might be broken for us on harpia. The thing is neither not my testers use encryption. That's why we never checked it.
So it's a possible bug now. Will have to check tomorrow

I do not care to wait for the solution to this bug, I'm just annoyed that I can not use Oreo because of this crappy encryption. :crying:
Anyway, thank you for the help and attention of the community. I hope I can help too.

I have good news. I was able to get this blessed "encryption" from my phone, had to format, but already had a backup with the most important things. Now I'm enjoying Android Oreo 8.1.

1) Multi-Windows not working or, better, not enabling. Long press on last button but nothing appen
2) Settings->System->Backup not working. Stuck on "Waiting for backup"

Guys, I've noticed that this LineageOS 15.1 has the same issue that all LineageOS 14.1. The issue is that when I'm hearing WhatsApp audios close to my ears, every notification sound comes out loud from the speaker. I have tested the Pixel Experience ROM and it doesn't happen with it. Is there anyway to fix that, as some configuration or option to enable/disable?
