The treble thread is here btw https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...-device-development/aosp-hadestreble-t3953333

Now, the thread is locked and is unkown if it will get updated, probably not, but it works nice for Android 9 GSIs

BTW consider treble something apart than AOSP based roms like Havoc OS, RR, etc; those are based on LineageOS and do not need treble, just flash the ROM

Yeah we could use normal rom but there is android 10 out for the GSI.
Sad they locked the thread. But there are YouTube videos people using android 10 with gsi on the s8

First of all, this is a great ROM, seems to be the best non-Samsung ROM, thanks for everybody's hard work.

But I've issues with 4G connection, simply it does not work (even from the beginning). Initial setup could not be done without connecting to a WiFi network, but after setting up there is no living mobile net connection (any type of it, altough it's icon in the top right corner says 4G is available). Any other ROM handles mobile net connectivity well. Does anybody an idea how to fix this?

Thanks

go to settings - mobile networks - access point names and change the APN protocol to IPV4 (BY DEFAULT IT IS IPV4/IPV6).. worked for me on every custom roms :)

I get an error on Flashing:
"E3004: this package is for device: dream2lte; this device is .
Updater process ended with ERROR: 7 ..."

I have s8+ international dual-SIM phone with Renovate_Dream_G95X_5.1 the past 2 years, and I rooted back then and have TWRP 3.1.1-2 as my recovery.
I'm guessing the above Renovate ROM changed the name of my device ???

Will someone give guidance on what I must do?
Is there any ROM I should be able to flash to get me into a 2019 ROM?
Thank you kind community.

Regarding my flash error, I updated to Android 8.0 on Renovate Ice 15.0, then it updated my TWRP, and thereafter I can flash this ROM.

I've been using this ROM for more than 2 weeks now, and I think this is the best non-Samsung based ROM on XDA for Galaxy S8. Others perform well, too, but this is really stable, lightweight and fast with only some minor issues.

Thanks developers!

Can you please list all the "minor issues" you're facing with this rom? plus, tell us about the camera performance, native, as well as in instagram, snapchat, whatsapp and other social media apps. Also if you could tell us the gaming performance with this rom. We'll be very thankful. :good::good::good:

I have issues with sound volume for regular calls. It seems that the other party does not hear me well, the level of microphone seems to be set to too low (I had the same issue with other non-Samsung based ROMs, as well). With headset (bluetooth or wired) it works perfectly.

I also have problems with sound listening with a wired headset. Using most of sound players right speaker does not work. It is a workaround if you
use for example Poweramp (it may have some own libraries).

The latest (and a really minor) bug is that, after restart in some, rare cases touchscreen does not work at all so you have to force restart the device with buttons.

I hope these can help you in decision of trying this ROM. Sorry for the late answer.

I've installed HavocOS on a S8 (dreamlte). It's really amazingly smooth and stable.
But I noticed a few things are not working:

-Remapping the Search Button wich normally starts Google, even when Google is disabled as Assisting APP
-Adaptive Battery Charging, no Matter what percentage I choose
-Fingerprint for some APPs, they just force close as soon as I try to add my Fingerprint

Anything you could do about these Things?

I'm running Stock TWRP and Kernel and tried all these Functions with or without Magisk 20.3

Hey, thank you for your exzellent work, I'm really astonished to see Fling back again in 2020! Love it!
But I also have an Issue: I cannot boot if I flash anything other than the plain ROM. No GApps (pico from opengapps) or Magisk (20.3 stable). when I did, no matter the order of flashing, I got to see the boot animation looping. I waited 30 mins each time but no luck. Any Idea how to get to the bottom of that? I REALLLY want to use this ROM.
I've poked around the last 3 hours and I believe this is the pinnacle of S8 ROM development, really cool stuff!
I'm going to see if I can find anything to get this running - will report back when i've found something.
Again, thank you!

P.s.: Naturally, I wiped properly every time.. system, data, caches and formatted data..

Update: After I flashed the ROM, rebooted and played around a bit I made a full TWRP backup and flashed magisk - successfully this time! Went to recovery and backed up again. After flashing opengapps, same problem, stuck at animation. Restored and now I'm here again. BUT I noticed some oddities between the reboots:
- I seem not to be able to deactivate usb tethering. It simply switches back on after reconnecting the cable. (works like a charm though)
- ADB permissions are gone after I reboot. Have to switch usb mode to filetransfer everytime and give the permission in order to use adb.
- When I enter TWRP it ask every single time if I want to allow modifications and wants me to install their app.
- After booting rooted, developer options turned off while I was in the menu. Strange, everything simply got grey and when I backed off, the menu entry was gone. USB settings got grayed out as well, even after reenabling dev options.

This all is not very persistent. Sometimes this, then that. To me this sounds like a permission problem maybe?
Any advice appreciated!

------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, I gave up. BUT I'm nearly done configuring microg on this ROM so.. happy anyways :)

I am having the same issue. After flashing gapps, the rom is stuck on boot animation. I've tried all different packages of gapps but issue persists. Rom boots up fine without flashing gapps. I've this issue on S8+ though. Attaching the gapps log here with for reference. Hope someone can help.

The most recent releases of opengapps have problems like you are reporting. As a PSA for anyone else looking, use an older build (the 17th?) or mindthegapps.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/pa-gapps-continuation-t3098071/page648
Personally, I've been having a lot of issues somewhat recently with opengapps causing a failure to boot on several devices.

    By using a slow charger

hahaha....yeaah i dont really get why so many people ask about fast charging oltions (not just on this thread)

whats the deal about it? use a charger with fast charging support and it will fast charge, use a normal one and it will charge with regular speed.
