Booting fine now :)
First boot was very fast. Flashed opengapps nano and still working OK. Dual sim functionality seems fine too :)

Sorry if this is asking too much... But do you happen to have Netflix? If so could you try installing and test the back button on a few random movies or shows? I had this really weird issues on Slim 9, where pressing the back button while watching something on Netflix would trigger a force reboot :( Every other button was fine! I would also love to hear what the battery life is like after a day or two :D. Thanks for testing this rom! The dev is working really hard as well! :D

Welllllll. I had to go back to my nandroid backup of leedroid. The Google authenticator didn't restore properly and I was locked out of some services I needed.
I plan to go back to this in a proper way soon but I can't test right now. I ran slim for a few days and didn't notice anything weird whatsoever but I didn't use Netflix those days.

Thanks for the answer! But did you get to try the brightness slider? I remember that being buggy on this rom when I ran it for the first time. It wouldnt register brightness correctly :(

Can you guys please flash the following ROM and get me a logcat from the point the phone starts booting up til the til it reaches the setup (lineage) window
Also, does it detect SIM card?
https://mega.nz/#!Vc1lVIQZ!aWuJobQ8EL2kYQ6UA9_PtEzB967Za3HapjVlkNN1WXU

Booted it up with los, aroma gapps and magisk, booted fine.
About 5 mins in, it froze and then booted back into recovery constantly again. Didnt get a log of that.
I did get what you asked though. Clean flash of LOS to setup.

Sadly it didn't work for me. Keeps rebooting to recovery after a second reboot with gapps installed :(

Would be good to get a log of it bootlooping too. From the point boot starts til the very start of the next boot cycle as it's bootlooping.

Okay, sorry for the spamming!
Ive established its in relation to magisk.
A log is attached below, the phone is idle, click in sim, reboot.
This is with nano gapps and magisk installed. With nano alone, no issues.

Just installed the dual sim test version with open-gapps-pico and everything I use works ok.
I do not have magisk installed, as installing it during setup causes it to boot back to recovery as soon as it gets to the setup screen, didn't get a log but can nandroid this working install and try a clean install with Magisk if you would like.

Just installed the latest beta magisk still boots back to recovery. Uninstalling with the latest magisk uninstaller works to get phone booting again. Find logs attached.

I usually flash magisk after I booted into the system and finished the initial setup. Can you guys see if the issue still occurs if done this way?

Same thing happens. My log is after having installed & setup the phone.

Dose not matter when Magisk is installed it will still boot back to recovery.

    ALPHA build LOS 17.1 (19.02.2020)
Stable ALPHA version, without reboots and bootloops for me.
    I use more than day.
    Fixed DRM widewine (v.1.2)

Camera still does not work. I need to understand, but I don’t know in what direction to move further. :(
Fingerprint sensor - it works, but I can’t add fingerprint: everything stops on this screen (screenshot below). Although when I click on scanner there is a characteristic vibration. I also don't know what to do with it yet.
The sound through Bluetooth headphones does not work (is interrupted). I think I'll need to fix sound configuration files.
Maybe some other bugs, but the rest works without explicit issues.

I still hope someone from devs helps to fix these issues....
    ALPHA build LOS 17.1 (25.02.2020)

    Rebased to Pie kernel,
fixed fingerprint (but there are some issues).

    - Kernel config,
    - Sound via Bluetooth headphones and
    Maybe some other bugs...

Hi guys, so I just wanted to update you all on the current situation.

TL;DR updates from now on will be released infrequently (once or two times per month unless a major issue is discovered).

    Semi-long story:
    • Study: university once again approaches real fast, with semester one starting next week on March 4th and ending late June after i'm done with my exams. My timetable this semester is quite intense and classes will occupy much of my time. This means i'll have less time to work on this.
    • Motivation: my motivation for working on this has reached a very low point. From things like having to backup and restore and reboot my phone tons of times daily to test new changes to people not able to properly report issues and bugs - it's just.... you know what I mean
    • Progress: over the last two months, a plethora of issues have been resolved and the ROM has reached a point where it can be used daily without too many disruptive issues. I'm happy and proud of what I've learnt
      and accomplished so far.

It feels like history is repeating itself. I first starting development two years ago during Cyanogenmod 14.1 times on my Xperia Z3 Compact. https://xdaforums.com/z3-compact/orig-development/rom-unofficial-lineageos-14-1-t3577224
It was quite popular, with my thread reaching 327,436 views!
Working on our ROM for a few months, we were pretty close to achieving our goal of getting the ROM to official status. But unfortunately due to motivation and study load reasons (and my phone breaking twice), we never really got there and I unfortunately had to stop development for the device. That's why I need to retract my statement about attempted to achieve official status for this device as well. There's a high chance it will never happen unless someone experienced can take over development. Of course there's a small glimmer of hope, our work on the Xperia Z series brought about many other ROMs such as Resurrection Remix (as can seen here), OmniROM, CarbonROM, and AospExtended, who all based their ROMs on top of our work to use as a stable starting point and continued from there. Not saying the same thing is going to happen here as our user base is MUCH MUCH smaller, but there is a small chance.

I apologise to those who still face issues with this ROM but I hope you all can understand.

Anyway, new builds will be out once or at most twice a month alongside the latest security patch for that respective month due to the reasons stated above, as well as any additional fixes/changes I feel like or have time to add.

New update out. Full changelog in OP as usual.

    Major changes:
    - March 5 security patches merged
    - ambient mode gestures added, find in settings -> display -> ambient display. turn on and off if it doesn't appear to be working
    - workaround for button backlight brightness issue around 5-7% added
    - squeeze to show ambient display in sleep (will forcefully enable ambient display if disabled)
    - squeeze gestures: short squeeze now has a vibration to indicate WHEN TO RELEASE for short squeeze action, same behaviour as stock
    - squeeze gestures: fix broken squeeze force setting and lower the maximum squeeze force close to stock
    - squeeze gestures: fix incorrect squeeze force for long squeeze action activation, it is now consistent between short squeezes and long squeezes

    ALPHA build LOS 17.1 (25.02.2020)

    Rebased to Pie kernel,
fixed fingerprint (but there are some issues).

    TODO:
    - Camera,
    - Flashlight,
    - Kernel config,
    - Sound via Bluetooth headphones and
    Maybe some other bugs...

    Camera and flashlight fixed.
    Added Widevine L1 support.

    TODO:
    - fix some fingerprint issues (Some fingerprint troubles for unlocking the screen:
when I initially set a password and save several fingerprints, the screen unlocks without any problems.
But after rebooting - only the password works. I cann't unlock the screen using saved fingerprints.
If I try to delete the password in settings, then the password is deleted, but fingerprints are saved (this should not be, fingerprints should be deleted too))
    - Audio Bluetooth
