Hi All,

The November security updates for LineageOS 13 were merged on 23-Nov, and I built an updated image yesterday.
The files are in the usual location here.

Note that it boots, and appears to work, but since I don't have service on this phone anymore, I haven't tested it as much as I normally do prior to release.

During the build, I took some screenshots to prepare a future HOWTO post for building the images yourself, so that's still on my radar.

After the December updates are merged, I will build a final image for obake.

Thanks

What errors?

It's installed the normal way:
1] Install TWRP.
2] Do a complete wipe of the phone in TWRP.
3] Install the LineageOS zip file with TWRP.
4] Reboot.
Getting this error :(

This package is for device: xt1030,obakem,obakem_verizon,xt1080,obake,obake_verizon,xt1080m,obake-maxx,obake-maxx_verizon; this device is .
I:Legacy property environment disabled.
E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/lineage-13.0-20170221-UNOFFICIAL-obake.zip'
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/lineage-13.0-20170221-UNOFFICIAL-obake.zip'

How did you install it on droid mini(XT1030)? I am getting some errors.
Read page 32 of this thread.

That sounds like a possible TWRP issue.
It looks like it's not able to determine which device you're using, so it aborts the flash.

Which version are you using? I use the one mentioned in this post.

The zip file contains a script file at /META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script.
The first line of that script is assert(blah, blah, blah) which is checking the result of your ro.product.device setting and aborting if it doesn't match one in the list.

Your device appears to be returning nothing at all.
That suggests it's some issue with either TWRP, or you're trying to flash over a custom ROM that isn't setting ro.product.device properly.

If you're trying to flash over a wonky, custom ROM, you should try flashing the latest, official Motorola ROM first. Then flash LOS-13.

Also, the Feb-2017 image is pretty old.
I don't control the first page, but I have been putting out newer releases. Most recently, just after your initial post, but the link points to the AndroidFileHost repository which contain my older releases as well.

Thank you for your work my friend.
I'm downloading the ROM now and
Will be waiting the final ROM also!

Edit: Flashed the ROM with root option to Droid Maxx.
Flashing process was smooth, with no single trouble!
Flashed also gapps and root add-on from linageos website.
TWRP 2.8.7 was used.

No problem discovered until now in operating!

For future reference, if you flash the "-root.zip" version of the ROM, you don't need to flash the LineageOS root add-on.
Basically, the "root" version of the zip comes with the LineageOS "su" binary already baked in and ready to go.

I create both versions because some people prefer to use Magisk or some other root tool, or prefer to remain un-rooted, but also because I have had problems getting the LineageOS root add-on to work in the past.

Thank you for pointing that out!
Seems I missed something from the instructions
And didn't realize that, no add-on needed for the 'root' version.
On my XT1100 and XT1103, I normally flash lineageos official and then always flash 'su' add-on. Maybe that's why I didn't think much about it.
Anyways, thank you for keeping development for this great device Droid Maxx. :good:

Will be trying the November build - I am upgrading from a one year old CM release, hence will do a full wipe.

Which gapps are recommended?
TWRP is 2.8.4

Hi All,

The December 2017 security updates for LineageOS 13 were merged on 23-December, but I was on vacation until recently so I just now got around to building the latest ROM.
The files are in the usual location here.

There was one patch that didn't get merged because of a reported problem with camera functionality and system crashing, so be aware that although LineageOS is claiming a patch status of 1-Dec-2017, it's still missing this patch for CVE-2017-13154.

Like the November release, it boots, and appears to work, but since I don't have service on this phone anymore, I haven't tested it as much as I normally do.

For this build I deleted and completely recreated my build VM so I would have a full set of instructions for a build tutorial.
I have a long weekend off from work, so I plan on starting the tutorial post this weekend and it should be up soon.

Note that this is my final build image for the obake platform as I have moved on to the Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact.

Thanks all for your support and enthusiasm for this old, but solid, platform.
