For those stalwarts still using these devices, I've spoken with @pbarrette and with his blessing will be making the occasional build of Lineage 13 with updated security patches. These are just point and shoot builds, so don't expect a lot of support if you run into problems. That said, feel free to let me know if something is wonky, and I'll pull that build.

Feb 2018 security patch build:
https://mega.nz/#F!95czEB6Y!RyzG0q94ryvtOhwofy7Q9w

The 'obake-recovery.img' included is a super basic Cyanogenmod recovery that gets built automatically. It's crap, but works if you can't find a version of TWRP you like.

Cheers!

If you are asking if it's possible, your guess is as good as mine. That said, I do know that the Moto X has had big problems with nougat based ROMs. Considering the "ghost" hardware is almost identical to "obake", I'd imagine we'd run into the same issues.

If you are asking if I plan to build and support a nougat ROM for obake, then the answer is,... nope. =)

Cheers!

Hi,
I installed the latest version with the security patch on a Droid Mini last week. This is a great piece of software, I love it!

I have one problem though. The cell network reception is notably worse and flaky than with the stock ROM, and the device is constantly switching / losing reception where before everything worked fine in a given location (i.e my office).

LTE networks are mostly available here, so it shouldn't have anything to do with the 3G/2G switch issue I read about.

I can usually "fix" it by some combination of turning airplane mode on and off, resetting the APN settings or just straight up rebooting the device.

Is this known behaviour and is there a fix or workaround? However great this ROM is, it's still for a cell phone...and a phone without good reception isn't really useful....

Cheers,
R

This is most likely a modem issue.
You could try experimenting with the various radio version available in this forum .

Yeah, I actually already solved this problem by upgrading to the modem from the latest official OS.

However, there's another equally annoying issue with Bluetooth; the switch between media & phone calls is pretty broken. If I'm listening to media via BT and I receive a call, the phone reboots.
However, if I uncheck the "Media audio" option for the headset, BT calls work fine.

This may also be related to another issue in which I can seldom receive incoming calls and can rarely hear the other party. If I switch to speaker phone, the call continues fine. Audio routing apps don't solve this issue.

I haven't been able to find a Tasker / Automate solution to the Bluetooth issue ; mainly because there is a toggle for the "phone audio" but not for the "media audio".

Is this a known issue, and is there a fix?

Thanks,
R

Using this ROM on my Droid Mini. Hadn't used it for awhile, thought I'd repurpose it as an always-listening Google Assistant, but "Access with voice match" is grayed out. Any ideas why that is?

Just wondering if there has been a February 2019 build?

I always have issues connecting to mobile data while roaming.

I'm currently in China and I almost never get a data connection, although my plan (T-mobile) gives me 2G data. This works fine on a stock ROM, but it has never worked properly on the Lineage OS build.

I just upgraded to the latest build here and went to stock and back while I was at it, and can confirm the same baseband work fine on stock but do NOT work on LineageOS (any builds from this thread since I first tried it sometime last year).

Any ideas?

Got this up and running with the latest patched rom provided by Rottgrub. Took some trial and error to get it loaded. Could not install or sideload through TWRP, and tried with different versions of TWRP. I ended up having to sideload the rom and gapps through the recovery image Rottgrub has hosted for download. So thanks ROTTGRUB !

Also, once I was booted, I had a hard time using the phone as Pixel Launcher would constantly crash/ stop making the phone unusable. I had to install Nova Launcher via google play online through my computer to set as my default launcher and be able to use the phone.

Thank you.
How exactly did you use this recovery? I have TWRP but if this ROM does not boot with that, then I am not sure how I should handle the next steps.

Just finished a new "20190426" build, which is posted in the same directory. Should have every update to current. This build is untested, so backup your files, and be ready to revert if needed.
ROM Download Link

Cheers!
Thanks a lot.
Downloaded it and the recovery as well. I do not mind wiping the full phone along with system, but need to refresh my memory on the procedure to flash this with adb using my Windows 10 desktop.

I did not need to do anything for my TWRP. The existing version worked just fine and I was able to flash the ROM. I also downloaded the pico version of gapps for Android 6 ARM.
The phone works fine - I do not have anything not working - at least since last evening.
The one thing I noticed is that the security patches are from January and not April.
