I've always loved the lineage OS-es. Unfortunately, my way of working has changed and now that we're dealing with criminal organizations in general it's useless to try fighting them with a better OS. They'll get to us no matter what as long as we don't stand together and realize this fight has to go to court in the real world and cannot be won in the virtual, digital environments.
It seems a long way back to the times when we had trust and faith in each other. The basic need to stand together instead of living in isolated opinions instead of shared realities. So my guess it is at least a medium long way forward to get there again. All reasons to keep supporting the platforms like Lineage.
What I miss and very much dislike is using my Outlook contacts instead of the more evil Google contacts. I like to think of intentions behind things and for me, Microsoft loves working Office environments and the way I see it, they are the best. Google love(s)d searching, and now they brag about being good at anything.
The one business-model prevents the company from stealing in plain sight, the other business-model leaves all options open to steal the clothes off your body no matter where you are. Rape is probably not a problem either if you stick to the definition of unwontedly entering your body. So for my office needs like Rolodex (yes I know about them but never used them), I go to MS.
The Fresh version of Android allows me to do that. It does not provide me with a feeling of safety and knowing what my phone is doing with me as Lineage does. But for business purposes, considering voluntary and coerced consent in a less balanced presence on my device I move back to Fresh.
I hope you will get the fingerprint and Outlook contact syncing to work in the future. I'd love to get back to Lineage.
I may have made a mistake following procedure, but I also have to go through the warning there's no Samsung software installed on the phone every time I reboot. It makes getting into TWRP harder. I assume I should replace the vbmeta partition as it is the vendor partition (?) to prevent it from happening.
Never had to do that before and didn't even notice they added it to the partition scheme but since it bricked my device before I left it out while trying out the LineageOS for the A50. What can I say....I love it. I'd advise it to anyone who has sold their soul to Google for their great design anyway.
