Great work! The OEM OS was unbearable with CM 13 and totally unusable with CM 14. Thanks! I have one comment and one question:
Q: How to turn on full root access, not only ADB? I rather not install SuperSU nor Magisk.
C: I first clean flashed using TWRP 3.1.0, but the phone got stuck on boot with the lineage logo just doing its stuff forever. Upgraded to TWRP 3.1.1 but if choosing Reboot System, it still got stuck until I did a hard power off. Then it booted normally. Perhaps useful to know.

When you say Flash Lineage OS, do you mean sideload the zip file from my PC, or unpack the zip file and use Fastboot, or transfer the zip file to my phone and install it from there? Thank you.

Sideload (from TWRP) or copy to phone and install from TWRP. Not unpack.

Found two issues with this latest build:

- Soft restart: the phone just sits on the Lineage logo at startup
- Lost root in developer option. Flashing the SU add-on does not help

Never mind. Restored previous build for now.
On my Swift2X I don't have the soft restart bug... The last build is user-release. I might suggest trying Magisk for root as it works flawless, has the hiding option and allows you to install cool modules like Xposed...

Thanks. Like I mentioned a few messages earlier, I rather not use Magisk. It has nothing to do with the technology , which is good (I have tried it), but it hooks in at a very low-level which makes me feel uncomfortable running it (what can possibly go wrong :) or exploit any flaw?).

Same thing for Xposed. Call me conservative if you want, but 30+ years in the IT field and I have seen people get burnt. Never happened to me and I intend to try and keep it that way.

There is a submenu in settings called buttons where you can put it into lefthand mode and move the home, back and history buttons...

Hi VBCerobil,

Thanks for your work on this ROM ! I tested this last userdebug release and the only one thing that don't work is the SIM card ! I've installed the user release of 20171004 and all work nicely (nfc, wifi, sim card, 4G, etc).
Thanks all to your work on the marmite device, really appreciated !!
