That worked... still puzzled why I can't flashboot a bootloader. I fastboot flashed 249H to get the phone working then flashed the 21/11 version of Lineage. I had previously flashed that without modding the updater script. My version of the bootloader is marmite-N-ge8bbd8f whatever that's from.

The stock recovery version of 319H posted here soft bricks the phone, BTW.
I normal use one of the recovery.zip files that's flashable via TWRP that Wileyfox have sent me the links for however the newer bootloader versions make you press power button within 30 seconds or it switches off. The marshmallow one does not and it has the black splash screen too, rather than the goolish white one.

Some members who tested this ROM reported the WiFi not working so the developers put the bootloader check in so that the latest radio files are in place, however I tested the October build against all the nougat radio files and the final cyanogen ones and it worked fine on them all so I stayed on the CM-13.1.5-ZNH2KAS7EB ROM bootloader and general radio files. This work fine for the November build. As there is a fault on the updated version with December security patch I have not tried this version yet.

Link to recovery. Zip of latest build flashable via TWRP.

That's the one that soft bricks the phone (with an unlocked BL) - the 249H version works OK via fastboot, not tried flashing the Recovery version of that.
I have not actually flashed the latest build, I get sent them by Willeyfox, however that ment to be installed via TWRP.

We have to use the update.zip to flash the bootloader etc?

Does that include a ROM as well? seems quite large
Yes its a full ROM, however they contain all the latest radio files and boot loader version.

Once you have flashed it via TWRP and run through basic setup, you can then return to TWRP, wipe system, user data, cache etc. Then the lineage os ROM should install via TWRP without an error 7 message plus your then on the latest bootloader version and radio files.

Think I've just figured out why the script needs changing. The Dev is using TOS317G and we're on TOS249H or TOS319I.... so the bootloader versions are different. I (strongly) suspect that 317G is for a different territory, and may not be optimal for the "west".

Here's a recovery flashable bootloader and radio update to TOS319I

https://drive.google.com/file/d/19lseNqyatU1ZH1okAcDQ5zGPYB8sMlu_/view?usp=sharing

And one from TOS249H

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vhsvOEvtBWKRCEVt9GUBifEMFF3pkb6L/view?usp=sharing

For info, the 249H bootloader sig to use in the updater script for the November LOS is "marmite-N-ge8bbd8f", don't know what the 319I one is, but I'm now running it, so if I flash the ROM again, the script will fail.

Yes, after early test some on TOS317G had WiFi issues. Up to now I have successful run all versions on final marshmallow bootloader and radio files so have remained on this.

Another developer who did an unofficial LOS 14.1 ROM for the Wileyfox Storm device put a radio.zip file together in the op/first post as it needed the cyanogen 14.1 bootloader to run on. Presumably a stable set of radio files could be arrived at too.

Yes it is... :) Vm03 mentioned it might be caused by the vendor blobs, so I reverted them to an earlier release (october) and everything seems to work...
Oh that's good, I have found the October release to be the most stable. I have had no force closes or crashes happen on this build at all.

ES File Explorer Pro_Pro 1.1.2, has force closed 5 times on the new December build.
Could you provide me with a logcat or dmesg from your phone with more info on the error?
I switched from Es File Explorer to root browser cause of to much unwanted things were suddenly added to the app which I did not like...
-> The cause is probably (certainly) the blobs, I'm communicating with the other two devs about what needs to been done with it.
So far, so good on mine...

I can if it occurs again, I wiped the caches as this improved stability on the November build with this problem.

Are the blobs different in December build to the October one? If it was not for the security patch been out of date I could happily stay on the October build ongoing as it feels like I am back on official LOS 14.1 again when this is running.
