Just tried to do a clean install of this using lineage-15.1-20200217-nightly-angler-signed coming from an android 9 rom (AICP 14) and this was stuck in a boot loop, showed the first few frames of the boot animation then reboots.

Am I alone with this?

I am not sure if an FBE Recovery will work with this ROM.
Someone please confirm.

Sussed it.
I have been using some 9.0 roms, they all boot without issue, they also auto flash a vendor image which looks remarkably like the one included with the last version of original Android.
However it will not allow 8 roms to boot.
Resolution was to flash the vendor.img file listed at the beginning of the thread which looks nothing like the vendor.new.dat.br file in the original firmware.
Had I installed this rom first would probably not have had the problem

Bit of an apollogy and Information

For the record the I think I need to clarify my previous post.
The files @razorloves has posted in the instruction section are the correct ones to use for 8.1 Roms.
The reason I thought the "vendor.image" as not the same as the original firmware was MY fault, I was looking at an OTA file not the full firmware image.
Once I installed the vendor.img file that @razorloves has posted all my issues were resolved.
The fault was mine and his files are completely correct.
I hope this clears up any issues or missunderstandings my previous post has created.

I have come across a bit of an issue ans want to ask if this has occured for anyone else using these apps.
I use the "Nectar" app for collecting loyalty points.
Initially I managed to set it up and it was working fine, after a couple of days it started to force close, uninstalling and reinstalling and res setting up was the only resolution I could find, then back to square one.
After this loop for a week or so the app will now no longer login at all.
No root but I am not convinced this is a Rom issue at all as I had a similare issue with another app that just started working with no changes to the rom.

ok, here we go. :D
new build with March 2020 security patches from google.

lineage-15.1-20200309-UNOFFICIAL-angler.zip

Important notes: Normally when you switch from an official to unofficial rom, you have to wipe data because they're signed with different keys.
But you can just flash this migration zip right before you flash my unofficial rom to avoid wiping. Then you're good to go.
Should make a backup in twrp, just in case.
So just boot into twrp, make a backup, flash migration zip, flash rom zip, done. :good:

Thank you for your qork on keeping Lineage alive.
I just want to check that soemthing is expected behaivour.
I have flashed migration.zip and the newest rom.zip, no errors in the flash process.
Took a while to stabalist which is to be expected.
Each time I reboot the Trust centre sticks up a notification "the latest build is using public keys"
Other than this nothing to report so far.

that's expected. you can just disable the "build signature" check in the trust settings, to stop receiving that notification.

Hello,
First, thank you for sharing your work with us.
I try to install your rom on my nexus 6P, but I'm staying stuck on the Google logo.
I use the latest TWRP 3..3.1.0 and bootloader, vendor and radio are up to date.
The only warning message I have is "failed to mount /vendor"
Any idea?
----- EDIT ------
Finally, after having installed the factory image, and your rom after, everything work well
Thank you

new build with April 2020 security patches from google. :good:

lineage-15.1-20200426-UNOFFICIAL-angler.zip

Note#1: This build passes safetynet. You no longer need magisk or any changes to build.prop. :highfive:
Note#2: This build has a major change which includes the vendor img. I did a quick test and it appeared to work the same as previous builds, but make a backup in twrp just to be on the safe side.

Hi NUMAFlex, is there a download link for the NetHunter kernel I can use for this ROM?
    Any special instructions to obsurve?
    Thx in advance.

    Sure ting Lucius!
This is the one i WAS using, there was a new version of nethunter like last two days so i haven't the time to rebuild it.
(I don't do sh**t on them, all credit to Re4son/Kimocoder/Jcaduonno/All the nethunter cats, i just run a python script and so on...) But i will post it again as soon as i have it.

    And that's what i do:
1- Flash the stock Google image
Allow for it to reboot (check if it shows the colorful wheel as it boots)

    2- Flash TWRP
Boot to twrp with a usb stick with all the Zips and MD5s

3- Format everything, reboot to twrp, format Media/Internal storage
    Reboot to TWRP

4- Now i just TWRP-flash everything together in that order:
LOS, OpenGapps, Magisk and the Kernel
(in my experience it allows to boot right with mobile signal without the need to make that trick from the lock screen options)

    And just that.

If you find any wrong doing on my side, please, let me know. Any doubts also, if i can help, just hit me.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of android, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock android for your device.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. If you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Wiki.

    Important Info
To flash this rom you need TWRP 3.2.0-0 or newer. https://twrp.me/huawei/huaweinexus6p.html

Make sure you have the radio & bootloader img's installed from the stock oreo 8.1 OPM7.181205.001 Dec 2018 factory image.
They can be extracted from the factory image on google's site here. Or you can use the ones linked below that I already extracted:
    radio & bootloader img's: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=286833
Those img's can be flashed with fastboot command.

Note: There's an issue happening to some angler users on custom oreo roms. The first boot after flashing rom your sim card might not be detected. It's easy to fix. Just go to lockscreen security settings and change it to 'none' and then reboot. Then you can change it back to whatever you want. This only happens one time when you first flash oreo.

    Download Links
    rom: https://download.lineageos.org/angler
Note: LineageOS servers no longer make 15.1 builds for any devices. You can use my unofficial builds here. My older builds are here.
Note#2: if you want to switch from an official build to my unofficial builds, follow instructions here.
    google apps (optional): https://wiki.lineageos.org/gapps.html (Use arm64 / 8.1)
root su addon (optional): https://download.lineageos.org/extras Note: Use arm64 15.1 zip. After installing the su addon, you can enable root in developer options.

    Instructions
If updating from old unofficial to newer unofficial, follow the steps below:
    1. if you don't already have them installed, flash the newest radio and bootloader img's linked above.
    2. boot into twrp and flash the rom zip.
    Reboot & enjoy.
NOTE: if you previously flashed gapps and/or the su addon, there's no need to flash them again. They will be automatically re-installed during rom zip installation.
NOTE2: if you want to switch from an official build to my unofficial builds, follow instructions here.

If coming from a different rom:
    1. if you don't already have them installed, flash the newest radio & bootloader img's linked above. also make sure you have the newest twrp, linked above.
    2. boot into twrp and wipe system & data & cache.
    3. flash rom & gapps & su addon zips (gapps & su zips are optional).
    Reboot & enjoy.

    Weather Provider Addon (Optional)
For those that like the lineage cLock widget, here's the OpenWeather apk you need to get weather info.
    https://download.lineageos.org/extras
Grab the one for version 16.0. It also works with 15.1.
Note: You'll need an api key from OpenWeather.

So, you'll need the new august vendor img for the next lineage build.
The radio and bootloader img's are the same as in last month's update from google, so no need to flash them.
I extracted the img's from the august OPM6.171019.030.H1 factory image. You can get them here:

Build breakage is fixed :good: https://review.lineageos.org/211131
So the next scheduled build on Monday shouldn't have any issues.

And all repos have been updated with April security patches and changes.
So when you flash the next build you'll need to update your vendor img to the newest one in the April OPM3.171019.019 factory image.
I've already extracted it so you can have it ready to flash on monday, here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=261872
The bootloader and radio img's are the same as what was in last months factory image, so no need to flash them if you already have them.

So, you'll need the new september vendor img for the next lineage build, which should come out tomorrow, like normal..
The radio and bootloader img's are the same as in last month's update from google, so no need to flash them.
I extracted the img's from the september OPM6.171019.030.K1 factory image. You can get them here:
