Problems

Hi Voron00,
I have a couple of problems in my mako that some 15.1 update started and still remains the same with LOS 16. When I activate the hotspot the devices connect but do not have internet access, and if I change the SIM to another phone yes the internet is shared The other problem is that videos on YouTube load fast, but in web browsers visiting facebook the videos take a long time to load using the 4G or 3G connection

. I would appreciate it if you could help me.

I just checked and had no issues with sharing mobile data over wifi and all sites loaded normally to me. Make sure you on the latest modem or try with another sim card.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I updated the modem and the problem of the videos was solved, however the problem of the hotspot remains the same. I hope one day it will be corrected again, while I will leave it like that.
Regards!

I was wondering if it would be possible to implement a script that automatically performs a system resize while flashing the rom zip.

Don't install these lte hybrid bullshit. Use latest firmware for full compatibility. 1.07 is the latest version for baseband. Other firmware is included in this rom.

If you use lte modem it's outdated and don't work properly. It only activate band 4 lte nothing more.
So I think that's why the hotspot does not work on my nexus, I'm intrigued by your observation. I'll see if I find that firmware that you say here.

Also quick and easy repartitioning script (cache - 128M/ system - 1228M) for flashing on stock partition table only: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GNbxlqG78WYOeXBxgmfGgMmsf02KMVOX/view?usp=sharing
Use at your own risk.
Any repartitioning is done at your own risk.
hello OP, sorry for my noob question but i hope you or anyone can help me.
1.-Can i flash your repartitioning script (googel drive link) on official twrp 3.3.0-0?
or do i have to use the Clamor's guide < https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/orig-development/repartition-nexus-4-repartition-t3844383 >
i haven't modifing partitions yet, so for my understanding i'm on "stock partition table" right?
2.-after modifying partitions can i go back to official lineage 15.1 or it would brick my device?
i'm just asking because nexus4 is my only device :/ and can afford to brick it.
thanks in advance for your comments and really want to thank you for your work on this device.
have a nice day.

Yep just flash repartition.zip on official twrp, you can go back to any rom without any problem.

SOD update: Solved! At least for me.
So I was desperate and slowly started believing that it's just my device's fault, but in the end I found the real culprit and the SODs stopped... it seems like they have nothing to do with the deep sleep after all.
At first I finally managed to pinpoint a reproducible behaviour, which was that SOD sometimes happened when I had (facebook) Messenger open and locked the screen. So I decided to give it a try and replaced Messenger with Messenger Lite and guess what... not a single SOD in the last 2 weeks, even the battery life improved greatly.... Guess the modern resource-(wasting)-hungry apps are finally, after 6 years, able to bring our beloved makos down :(

Thank you op!

hello OP, i just want to thank you for your hard work.
Now i have running pie on my 7 years old device and everything feels fast, smooth and working very well. great job within the lineage's standards.
i have attached logs from flashing process...
1.- i flash your script (from post no.1) on official twrp it reboots but i don't know to to check if it change the cache and system size.
2.- flash last build rom
3.- flash pico opengapps
4.- boot it to configure it
5.- reboot in twrp for root it with magisk

hope this can go official but at least with this build or 15.1 we has nothing to demand you...
Thanks again!

The OP says "IMPORTANT: You need to have a /system partition at least 1272 MB size to flash this ROM."

But a little below that, it says that the quick and easy script will make the system partition 1228 MB. So seems like one of these numbers must be incorrect. Can someone clarify this for me? Thanks.

Just a typo in OP, script resizes to 1272 MB.
