LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9 (Pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Tried on Indian dualsim version (M8sd)
its working good, fast
As mentioned NFC is not working


Also camera freezes on hdr mode but takes the picture
Installed various camera app all freezes on hdr mode , All other camera mode are working fine ...

This is not a problem, but if you can tell how to or reduce vibrator intensity it would be great .

You can flash Open Gapps, but stock and super variants are not recommended.

I found the GApps, thanks!

The model is e8 single sim. I can use the double tap power button feature to access camera, but it crashes immediately. Downloading third party camera apps open, but fail to load the camera, "can not load camera, it may be in use by another app".

Have you tried wiping and flashing it again?

If it's not working, send me a kernel log.
To get a kernel log, you need root access. Install Magisk first.

adb shell
htc_e8:/ $ su
htc_e8:/ # cd sdcard
htc_e8:/sdcard # dmesg > kernel.log

Send me the file "/sdcard/kernel.log".

What's your twrp version?
Try to insall the latest twrp (https://twrp.me/htc/htconee8.html).
If it still doesn't work, delete the first two lines(assert...) in META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script in the ROM and flash it again.

Camera is not working properly when HDR is on, it's the same with other camera apps like Retrica. They crash or make the whole system freeze!
Kernel log and a logcat while taking a photo are attached.

It seems that the problem is solved, but I noticed a weird problem, when I copy multiple files, for example songs from internal to sd, the music files will be corrupted and the music player can't play it. Or if I copy some apps, I can't install them anymore. I checked my sd card on another device and it worked great but on my phone the problem remains. i appreciate if somebody can help me.

Hi guys! e8dual. I installed LOS16, everything is in order, but there is no sound completely missing from the speakers. AudioFx application starts, but its interface is inactive. Help me solve this problem.

Sorry for the late reply. Install Magisk first, then you can use Kernel Adiutor to reduce vibrator intensity.
