I know you haven't posted about the build yet but I tried to flash your 20211023 build of LOS19.0 and was sent to the bootloop zone 😢😛

back to LOS18.1 😂

Uhhh there's a 19 build?!

@follwmsi What is the status of your 19.0 build. Will you post about it in this thread? Thank you!

Just renamed the folder to "12-development" .. if there are any really "usable" builds I will let you know - for sure. :)

Comparing with previous major updates .. for android 12 there are actually not too much changes required to build successfully.
But as you realized it does not boot successfully .. due to graphics issues .. and maby more.

Uploaded another new build today .. Lineage team did inlcude more repos and several changes. Still had to cherry-pick a lot of missing changes .. and there are still tons of changes missing to make pure AOSP to Lineage.

As well I did applied a "hack" to make graphics (hopefully) work.
Some Camera components have been taken out temporarily.

The goalof the new build is to see lineage bootanmiation .. at least for a short while :)
I did not test the new build myself .. not yet.

@michie is also working on Android 12 .. Pixel Experience seems to be a bit quicker as Lineage. PE merged already more changes to make custom ROM really usable.

We will see .. if and when will have "proper" Lineage-19.0 for dragon.

Cheers

Known issues:

- Encryption seems not to work - and has not been tested. -> Pls do not encrypt your data partition yet !

Workaround for Pattern: On fresh boot you will need to wait a bit longer before you enter credentials.
The waiting time is required on fresh boot only, the following unlocks are working normally.
In case of problems pls use Update.ZIP_TWRP_flashable_pattern_pin_remover_V2.zip to remove pattern/pin or password.

Installation:
1. Boot into TWRP (latest available version)

Enjoy LineageOS on your Pixel C .. :)
Hi, I tried to flash your version of Lineage 18.1. I formatted Data and wiped my System, however I got this error :
"This package is for "dragon" devices;"

Found another post here with the same issue, and you mentioned that you had to remove some part of the code and re-zip it again. Would you pls do the same for this one (your Lineage 18) ? Or let us know which file needs to be modified ? Thank you.

You're a legend. Do you think the upcoming Shield TV Android 11 release will help our Dragon?

Maybe shield 11 image will help us.
For now we have used just one single lib fro shield images (vulkan.tegra.so) .. the other libs/blobs do have compatibilty issues with the existing dragon libs .. we would have to start from scatch - just with shield libs/blobs.

We will see when/if we get Android 12 running on dragon .. :)

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place for this but search just kept bringing me back here so here goes.

I recently pulled my pixel c out of a drawer to give to my niece and discovered it was only android 8 (shows how much i used it) as it is well and truly out of support i thought i would see to getting it up to 11 with lineage using TWRP but want to check something.

So i have the adb and run adb devices from CMD, i can see device. Great
run adb reboot bootloader, get waiting for fastboot command on tablet. Great
run fastboot flash recovery twrp.img, get the following:-

Sending 'recovery' (16496 KB) OKAY [ 0.437s]
Writing 'recovery' FAILED (remote: 'unsupported command')
fastboot: error: Command failed

I can only get it to go by using "fastboot oem unlock"

I have now got into TWRP and installed Lineage is that correct? Or have i balls up somewhere that may cause my niece issues down the road?

Thanks in advance

*EDIT* Spoke to soon, device boots but just says Android setup keeps stopping

What's a Rhino?Lol!. You should look for an appropriate forum for your device.
It's a brand of tablet. I'm guessing it's a made for someone by someone kinda scenario like how the early google nexus tablets were made by Samsung.
I am really struggling to find any information on it at all to be honest.

Considering this thread is for the Pixel C tablet, you're not going to get any answers for your question here.

Best to ask in your device forum. ;)
If there is one.

Quick search, I did not find one.

xda is a very big forum. o_O
When you get lost, best place to ask for help is in the [HELP THREAD] Ask ANY Question. Noob Friendly. thread. ;)

lineage-19.0 (BETA)

Let's go for Android 12 .. this is an early build of lineage-19.0 for Pixel C.

As Lineage SetupWizard is still missing I did made dirty upgrade from 18.1 and just wiped my system partition in TWRP. Still have to test clean install.
I have tested this build with open_gapps-arm64-12.0-nano-20211116-UNOFFICIAL_TEST.zip and Magisk 23.0.

lineage-19.0-20211117-UNOFFICIAL-dragon.zip

Known issues:
- Camera is not working yet
- Tons of lineage customizations / settings / bugfixes are still missing !
- SELinux is permissive
- Chrome browser still starts slowly and does not play certain videos.
- Maybe more issues ..

Again .. it's still a beta build.

Thanks to @ipdev for the opengapps test packages !

Enjoy Android 12 (y)

Cool, no problem. Thanks for the support @ipdev & @Alxoom33. I did update TWRP. I'm just glad to be on 12 and that @followmsi is still making these roms. For my purposes it works just fine as it is now for serving its job which is essentially streaming movies, tv shows., or music from my plex server and simple web browsing. I'll be sure to check back once their is an update for the clean flash.

Dirty flashed LOS19 over the latest 18.1.

Seems to we working great so far.

    God bless you @followmsi

LOS 19 is working pretty well so far. Followed followmsi dirty flash steps. First boot had some kind of text input bug but second boot is a-okay. Definitely looking forward for upcoming 12L tablet layout optimizations but I like how snappy this is at the moment. Typing this out on the desktop website is immediately responsive and that was not always true under LOS 18.
