Not sure why you are having issues. I always dirty flash from the prior version. I use Open Gapps-A12-Full version for Arm 64 devices. Maybe NikeGapps is the problem?

After some time of consideration after final build of the old version was released I updated from 18.1 to 19.0 yesterday by clean install with NikGApps (Basic, 20211227) and I'm seeing the same as @Varakh: with Trebuchet I can open quick actions menu (like compose e-mail) but neither can move nor remove any icons. What worked for me was changing from Trebuchet to Nova Launcher (no big impact as I use Nova anyhow but had not installed it yet when testing).

In general I'm happy with Lineage 19 so far as being stable and fast, only camera is missed a bit (not that I do many photos but now and then I used it to read QR-codes). Big thanks to @followmsi for keeping our Pixcel C alive.

I noticed with lineage-19.0 (build 20220110) that I can only connect to wifi 2.4GHz and not 5GHz.

Can somebody confirm this behaviour?

Yes. I can confirm same for me. Stuck in 2.4 Ghz. Can't choose 5Ghz manually either.

I am not sure if it affects dragon but, some have reported issues with the 5 GHz WiFi on some devices.
Had to do with the 5G band range the network runs.
Also some have issues with WPA3 encryption.

I am the same as @Alxoom33, no issues connecting to 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz WiFi.
My WiFi networks are Hidden (Not broadcasting the SSID)
WPA2/Personal encryption.
I leave the Channel settings to Auto.

Just checked my dragon is picking up Channel 157 [5785 MHz] (5.785 GHz)

Hope it helps. :)

Cheers. :cowboy:

Is it me or are you also having troubles dragging desktop icons around and no "Remove" icon pops up in the Android 12 build (latest)?

I think this is/was an issue with Trebuchet.
I did not have the time to check.
LineageOS Gerrit - android_packages_apps_Trebuchet+branch:lineage-19.0 - Link

Unless you use a config script, OpenGApps Micro and above should remove the stock launcher and install Pixel launcher.
OpenGApps Pico and Nano do not replace the launcher.
OpenGApps Micro, Mini, Full, Stock and Super all replace the stock launcher with Pixel launcher by default.

Cheers. :cowboy:

I had the same idea with the channels and tried it yesterday.

I determined that the channels 36, 40, 44 and 48 work with lineageos 19 - channel 52 and above don't work for me (=> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WLAN_channels#5_GHz_(802.11a/h/j/n/ac/ax)).
Maybe it's a wrong or missing set of country for enabling additional frequencies?

My device connects only with WPA2 (although WPA3 is enabled). But that was also the case with Lineageos 18.

I am having serious issues with my Dragon. I can still get to the bootloader with the Power and Vol buttons. But, when I reboot to System I only get to the Google splash screen. When I reboot to recovery I only get the LOS splash. I can't get into System or Recovery. This may be a hard brick situation.

Also, ADB and Fastboot do not recognize my device, even though they work fine with my Pixel 2 XL. The ADB and Fastboot problem has been going on for several months, and may involve some microsoft update issue, while the above booting issues are new.
By the way I am using new cables and latest downloaded drivers. So they are not the problem.

So this may be it for my Ye Olde Pixel C.
Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated.

It seems Chromebooks and Pixel C store/read the factory country code the same way.
You can check your default factory country code in termial app like this ..

Code:
cat /sys/firmware/vpd/ro/region

If you have Magisk installed pls change country code for testing .. used "US" as example.

Code:
/system/bin/resetprop ro.boot.wificountrycode US

On Android 10 we have had DragonParts app to switch wifi country code.
This app is not working on 11 nor 12 .. needs major upgrade.

As well we have init_regions.sh script to read factory country code and apply as "ro.boot.wificountrycode".

If you have Magisk installed the script does not work correctly ..the path of resetprop differs in Android 12.
I have changed this today for next 19.0 build.

If changing wifi country code works you may change /system/build.prop and add ..
Code:
ro.boot.wificountrycode=US

In next build, including Magisk resetprop path fix, you will need to add ..
Code:
persist.sys.wifi.country_code=US

This will override factory country code accordingly.

Cheers

EDIT: Actually DragonParts works on 11 and 12 .. now you need to reboot to apply changed wifi country code setting.

Today I have tested the new Magisk 24,0 .. seems to work well on Dragon.

You need to install "Universal SafetyNet Fix" modue to pass SafetyNet.

Thanks to @ipdev for his nice Magisk 24.0 thread.

Cheers

Also, is there any way to get it "certified" in the Play Store?

Answering my own question, because figuring it out is usually how it works as soon as you ask a technical question on the internet ...

The issue was that I couldn't get Zygisk to activate. I upgraded from the latest Magisk release to Canary (23307) and now it works, and the USNF is active. Basic integrity and CTS profile tests pass. The last bit of the puzzle was to clear storage/cache from the Play Store to get it to run the check again. The device now appears certified and all apps are available.

I'm amazed by this. Absolutely everything is working (and better than it was before!), except the known issue with the cameras which I don't care about at all. Thanks so much to everyone that makes stuff like this possible!

Have a magnetic keyboard too. works no issues
Thank you for offering your experience / datapoint @Blackmoth311 - appreciate that.

Based on that, I assumed I had some baggage left over from a "dirty flash update" :)

    Sp heres what I did:

    - backed up my lineageOS PixelC to google.
    - I did *not* re-flash (on April 22 update and pico gapps 12L)
    - wiped to factory defaults
    - set up again and restored apps/data

Bluetooth and keyboard work perfectly now

RETURNING PIXEL C TO STOCK IN 2022
FYI, if you're trying to flash back to stock and getting something like this -
    Snapshot cancel
    FAILED (remote: 'unknown command')
    fastboot: error: Command failed

...the solution is to unzip the stock zip and flash each .img as an individual file.
SO... from a bricked/needing to go back to stock pixel c.... you MAY have to be factory unlocked to flash these, not sure. I would assume not since they're probably signed? I was bootloader unlocked for the purposes of this test.

    1. download Pixel USB drivers - manually update the driver using the inf in that folder, use 'android bootloader interface'
    2. download and unzip the latest ryu stock image, then unzip the zip that's in that zip to find the .img files.
    3. make sure you have platform tools either in the same directory as the unzipped img files OR that Windows knows where they are.
    4. boot pixel c into fastboot
    5. flash all the things!

    fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-dragon-google_smaug.7900.139.0.img
    fastboot reboot-bootloader
    fastboot flash boot boot.img
    fastboot flash cache cache.img
    fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
    fastboot flash system system.img
    fastboot flash vendor vendor.img
    fastboot reboot

...and you're done! Enjoy stock 8.1.0 oreo. Might want to factory reset for good measure.

Has anyone flashed the US wifi baseband to the EU pixel c? Grabbed one and it's missing wifi 5ghz channel 149
Found an option in the advanced settings on Pixel Experience for WiFi country code, fixed me right up :) presumably it's in the settings for this ROM too
