Just picked up a used Nexus 5.. I kind of want to learn how to make a ROM and compile so I could perhaps help continue LOS support.
Correct local manifest provided in the third post of this thread
Well it isnt as complicated as it seems. Im providing some local manifests as well, but I dont really guarantee them working.
Thank you. So I've seen lots of work on ROMs for 5 but few for 5X. Is that just the way the cookie crumbles or is there a deeper reason why (it seems like) there's less work in builds for 5X.Nope, the 5x is an entirely different phone with a different soc.
Yes, we are. Thank you.Build with Feb security patches if someone is interested. https://sourceforge.net/projects/ha...neage-20.0-20230217-UNOFFICIAL-hammerhead.zip
Can this be dirty flashed?Build with Feb security patches if someone is interested. https://sourceforge.net/projects/ha...neage-20.0-20230217-UNOFFICIAL-hammerhead.zip
I would recommend clean flash since previous builds are signed with different keys. Try dirty flash. If it doesn't work, clean flash it.
Sorry, but camera doesn't work with build 20230220; with version
20230125 camera works.
(I use also MindTheGapps-13.0.0-arm-20221025_095826.)
LineageOS 20.0 is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 13.0 (T), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.Code:#include <std_disclaimer.h> /* * Your warranty is now void. * * We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. The source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.
Known bugs:
Screen mirroring via slimport HDMI adapter doesn't work. (won’t fix)
PMF aka 802.11w doesn't supported. PMF SHOULD NOT be enforced in your wifi router! (can’t fix)
Encryption doesn’t work. FDE encryption was removed completely in Android 13! (can’t fix)
There may be a lot of other issues because these builds are experimental!

Thank you very much! Works well enough on my "reserve" phone. Minor problems for the moment: google play store with BiTGapps won't update apps, (F-droid works, though), and can't get the device into developer mode.New build (20230220) with february security patch is out!
Please don't ask me for OTA or any bug fixes.
I don't have Nexus 5 anymore and can't provide proper support.
