The ROM has been crafted for smoothness and performance!
In summary, it is still SlimRoms that is compiled with Uber Toolchain.
The rom and the kernel are tested by me first before I make it available online. I could have overseen something during testing, please be understand.


What makes different from the official SlimRoms:
  • Compiled with a custom toolchain, Uber for better performance and battery life.
  • Compiled with the GCC optimization level -O3.
  • Compiled with strict-aliasing compiler optimization.
  • Added ARMv7 optimized string handling routines for more smoothness and memory optimization.
  • Disabled SQLite fsync to increase I/O performance.
  • Cherry-picked some AOSP bug and memory leak fixes.
  • Cherry-picked some KitKat bug and memory leak fixes.
  • Added RRO Layers support.


Installation instructions:


- Full wipe: system, data, cache, dalvik cache.
- Flash the SlimSaber build.
- Flash GAPPs.
- Have fun!

I have the same model and my WiFi is working just fine. Did you wipe everything except internal storage and external SD card before installing?

Oh and of course @sub77 thank you so much, phenomenal work as always. :good:

hey hey, nice!

i am running this on my sm-t330nu with my V4 kernel for sm-t330nu [RR]

WIFI, BLUETOOTH, AUDIO/MEDIA playback across the board is good. :good:

The question i have is where are the menus for apps? No menu/overflow visible.

I used hardware keys custom options and slimpie but menus still don't function, though other standard functions work
home,recents, etc.,

I'll try changing key files, but i was wondering if this is an overlay setting missing ?

ps also there is no real file browser, documents is meh.

I have working Wi-Fi and you both don't (same model), I'm wondering, have either of you taken the official 5.0.2 update from Samsung (or flashed the 5.0.2 firmware from here through Odin)? You need it for the bootloader, which in turn is needed for the kernel to work properly on these roms...

I re did everything from scratch again and all is now ok

I also have been trying different ROMs and got this mixed up with a stock ROM from repey6 - sorry for posting in the wrong thread
