Use a black screen filter. I can't improve this thing. And I have to use strange overlay values to set as better as possible the behaviour of the brightness bar

Before Andrdoid 5.0.2 and now Android 10!

The Open GApps pico 10 package kept crashing, but BiTGapps works fine on my SM-T330.
WiFi and Bluetooth do their job without any problems. General features are OK.

Problem encountered:
send screen not working
Wifi 5Ghz not detected

I have been able to give a second life to my tablet.

What do you mean by "send screen"? About 5GHz WiFi, it depends on which band you enable it. In my case, with band 36, it works fine. Some months ago, a user told me that 5 GHz WiFi in custom ROMs didn't work from band 149 to 161, if I'm not wrong.

¿Qué quieres decir con "enviar pantalla"? Aproximadamente 5GHz WiFi, depende de la banda que lo habilite. En mi caso, con la banda 36, funciona bien. Hace algunos meses, un usuario me dijo que el WiFi de 5 GHz en ROM personalizadas no funcionaba de la banda 149 a la 161, si no me equivoco.

Ah ok, that's normal. Google removed support since Android Pie. Probably, OEMs make it working because they modify the source code.

Updated TWRP via ZIP from 3.0 -> 3.5.2 + reboot. All looks fine. "OLD" ROM (LOS14) starts.
Shutdown, boot into recovery and flashed crDdroid v6.17 + reboot = stucking in/at "Bootlogo". It loads and loads and loads........

At recovery: Delete Cache/Dalvik + reboot = same
At recovery: Try to "Fix Contexts" + reboot = same

Tried another ROM like:
- crDroidAndroid-9.0-20210306-matissewifi-v5.12
- lineage-17.1-20210417-UNOFFICIAL-matissewifi

Both boot and starting Android.

Any Ideas for old men with old phones/tablets?

Try resizing your system partition in wipe menu. Maybe it'll help...

I always advice to flash a small gapps package. Full is too big. About ROM build, flash 6.16 as someone else told

BUT the most anoing thing are not the gAPPS. It's the device does not boot cleanly :-(

Use the "mega" link there is a folder old files with the v6.16.

I for myself was lucky, download the v6.16 before the update to v6.17.

7zip checks - The files ok. ONLY "full" (what is too big) to installing (expect the LOS-17.1-ROM)

some time and a meal passed away but the 6.17er wont work for me.
Flashed Samsung Stock 5.0.2, reflash TWRP + ROM and ....
... 6.17 wont load proper
... 6.16 läuft wie geschmiert (engl. works like Clockwork)
... no gAPPs till now - but i will survive this :-/

GPS works fine. It's just a lot lazy. I had to stay outdoor for about 1 minute to get a 3D fix. Here is a picture, coming from LOS17.1, but I can ensure that it works fine on all other Android 9 and 10 ROMs. Offmode charging should work fine. It just takes some time to come into the charging animation. Offline charging picture coming from LOS 17.1 too.
T23x won't never be supported from me. They're completely different, I'm starting lacking of time and I have a slow PC

have not had any issues, but with sm330 nu, millet wi fi 8 inch tablet . i did a clean install. i did use cr droid 6.17, along side gapps micro. No issues installed and successfully booted an configured. so far so good.
