Is there any flashable zip for firmware only? Or I have to flash the entire moto stock rom and restart the flashing process of lineage?

Also, the pie pixel experience by you was really good, any chance of that on Q?
1.
There is a flashable stock ROM, but just reinstalling the latest version would be better when done manually

2.
He could only maintain unofficially, as official needs the maintainer to own the device (which he currently doesn't)

GPS in v1.5

Just to report back that my XT1794 device has been running fine under 17.1 v1.5 (20200917), it has been very stable, the only noticeable issue was indeed with GPS.
So I've just updated to 17.1 v1.6 via auto-update and will keep an eye on GPS (only been playing with v1.6 for a an hour, but still getting a lot of "position unknown" errors, could be due to my not having google Apps at all ?).
Anyhow many thanks for the continued efforts to keep the moto G5S up to date, very much appreciated !

The GPS Errors are probably due to Google apps, as most services use Google Maps

Lost lamp & camera in v1.6

Sure the apps using gmaps are no go, but I'm using alternatives such as OSMand, which take a real long time to obtain a GPS position, but I've finally got a location this evening.

However I've lost the "lamp" feature, as well as the camera.

I have a few questions. It may be obvious but I can't figure it out. When I installed the rom it would indicate each time an app was using the camera or mic. After a day or two those icons stopped appearing. I'm wondering if I accidentally changed a setting or something (I've combed through settings but can't find it). The second one is a bit more complex and I don't know if this is even the right place to ask. I'm using advanced charging controller, and I'm wondering if there's a way to reduce the frequency at which the system rewrites the control files. It does it too often which results in the app and system clashing and rewriting the control files every second or so, which causes the charging current to constantly go up and down. Is there any way to change that or is it baked into android (I'm afraid it's the latter).

Uhh that isn't supposed to happen

Please try clean flashing again to make sure this isn't a ROM issue

1. I have no idea, I've never heard of such settings existing. You could try checking Privacy or Security settings.

2. Use of external mods is not supported, I'm sorry.

Runs very smoothly for me. Even first boot took only couple of seconds after clean flash.

Couple of things I noticed:
- Video recording is very dark
- Icon grid on home screen cannot be modified
- I cannot find the option to adjust home button swipe gestures. Luckily 'Home', 'back' and 'recents' were configured by default but I would like to add actions for double tap and holding.
- Also I dont find the Android 10 gestures for home, back and recents

I hope it solves the battery leak problem from v 1.6
I lost 50 % in one night with an idle phone !
That's been fixed, enjoy :good:

You may have locked your home screen in settings. Also, fingerprint gestures aren't configurable (sadly). Android 10 gestures should be available when you enable the navigation bar under Settings > System > Gestures > Navigation bar

Just realised that in v1.7 when the phone rings, the screen doesn't start, offering no way to accept the call. If I press on the poser button whilst ringing, it refuses the call.
I didn't configure anything regarding calls, has something changed, or is there an option I have missed ?
Cheers,

Are you sure your proximity sensor isn't covered by a screen protector?

Battery seems okay again with 1.7
But the screenshot bug (1970 date tag) which was gone with 1.6, is back with 1.7
There was basically nothing related to screenshots changed, I'm not sure what's causing it, since it doesn't happen for other users.

That's a good point, I hadn't thought this could be the cause because I've not got a screen protector, and the silicon case hasn't changed since I've had the phone, and I didn't experience this screen block before. But I'll take the case off to double check.
