A brief history

Altan started the Resurrection Remix ROM project in 2012 with android 4.0.x Ice Cream Sandwich. It soon became the most popular ROM with its original Samsung Galaxy S2 thread being the most viewed thread on XDA-developers for many months. He continued the development of the ROM till android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

After a long break, Altan came back to development and started his work on Resurrection Remix with android 4.4.x Kitkat. In the initial stages of the newly based ROM, Shubhang joined Altan. He brought new ideas to the table, with an aim to perfect the ROM in every way. He gave a face-lift to the ROM, initiated a dedicated website, improved upon things and together with Altan, both are working their ass off, making Resurrection Remix one of the best custom android ROM experience you'll ever have.

With android Lollipop 5.0, Akhil, Brian, and Varun joined Altan, to make Resurrection Remix even more awesome, following with Andres with android Marshmallow 6.0.

How to flash:
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.

This ROM is currently in Beta status. I know there are some issues. If you find something, trust in the fact that I more than likely already know about it and am working on resolving it.

Network location isn't working so you will have to set your time zone manually for now. LiveDisplay also uses network location so there may be times where it may be in Night mode when it shouldn't. You can either change this away from auto or manually change it or just have it off. It is very rare that it is set to night for me during the day, but has happened.

SnapDragon Camera is the stock camera. It works, but even though it shows 4K video it won't work in 4K mode, yet. It will tell you if you try. Use 1080p for now, but I'm working on 4K.

DO NOT FLASH SuperSU!!!!
It will cause you to go into a bootloop. You are warned!
Stock superuser does work even if its not our preferred option. Once other issues are resolved I'll look into this. Magisk works

Fingerprint recognition:​

Thanks to @jbm0329 for mentioning this tip

If anyone else has an issue with the fingerprint, a tip that I picked up months ago from another ROM was while setting up the fingerprint, do NOT stop at the last swipe. Try to give it another quick swipe or two after the last one and it should have an additional vibration to let you know that it accepted your fingerprint.

Just tried this ROM late last night and I was about to be frustrated and remove it but because I tried this tip, I was able to register a fingerprint and then able to add 2 more... now the fingerprint icon shows up on the lock screen.

Faster swiping worked better for me than slower did and I registered the same finger multiple times. It can sometimes still be temperamental, but more often than not works great. I use my Moto360 as a trusted device so it wont lock when its paired, but this works as a great secondary option for me as I can unlock with my fingerprint with the screen off so it wakes unlocked.

ROM is very fast and smooth.
IR Blaster working too.
Only 4k recording is broken by default camera but i figured out and now 4k works just fine by HTC Camera.
If anyone want HTC camera app download link below install as normal apk and change dpi to 420 from settings/configuration
Do not disable default camera app otherwise it will crash.

Almost everything is working perfectly for me. Even little things like weather updates and flashlight shortcuts are all perfect. I wasn't expecting to be functioning so well after bouncing from Nougat ROM to ROM. Battery life is also great. Thanks! Happy and running perfectly on EPK2

can this ROM run on EPE3 baseband? I asked this because of mine not bootup at all. If I have to be one latest baseband...then I'll pass...cause all of my other ROMs work fine on EPE3. I only restore anytime I want to.

I am on epj2, and it runs great. All of your ROM will work on epj2 as well.. just upgrade the bootloader and modem.

This ROM is pure Joy.. so many buttons to tweak.. my goodness...

So my question is which version of the Gapps seems to cause the least amount of issues for everyone. My initial was to grab the nano package but a little unsure.
