Good day, steadfasterX! I have the latest firmware / e / from January 21st. I have a problem with the camera, it won't start. I have vs986, UsU, magisk is not installed. Logcat (I hope I did it right): https://pastebin.com/Swx6r10m
Follow FAQ 7 and share the boot logs. Did you ever flashed the videolagfix?Good day, steadfasterX! I have the latest firmware / e / from January 21st. Also, data transfer via USB stopped working. The phone charges, but does not transfer files, the PC does not see the phone, but WFUL sees. The camera is working! The reason was the crooked driver for the USB input. After reinstalling the driver, the data transfer via USB started working, and the camera too!Follow FAQ 7 and share the boot logs. Did you ever flashed the videolagfix?
I can't test that so its up to you.I have a question: does NFC payment via GPAY work on /e/OS and LOS 16?
Do you provide (read-only) access to the source code of this custom ROM in some way? If yes, could you please send a link? I wasn't able to find it on my own.
Thanks! I saw that build manifest but wasn't familiar with such kinds of build processes to actually recognize this as (a pointer to) the source code
ah ok. usually you do:Thanks! I saw that build manifest but wasn't familiar with such kinds of build processes to actually recognize this as (a pointer to) the source code![]()

could u re-upload it? its missing (at least for me)Here's a log taken just after boot, if that helps.
No idea why it didn't work here.could u re-upload it? its missing (at least for me)
So, after hours of troubleshooting and LOTS of help from @steadfasterX and other people on Telegram here : https://t.me/sfX_Android, I eventually solved my problem… basically by reflashing the lastest stock ROM, then flashing /e/ OS again.Hello @steadfasterX !
I’m in dire need of help…
I clean flashed version1.0-p-20210307-CUSTOM-h815
on my H815 some days ago, and everything seemed to be working fine… until I eventually got out of my house (and out of wifi range), and realized I don’t have any mobile data service ! :-O
My findings so far :
If I type
- PIN code is being asked at boot (… usually)
- Service triangle icon is not empty
- Phone network is being autodetected
- Phone network can be manually selected (and changes nothing)
- Phone provider name is displayed
- Voice calling works !
- SMS works (a bit unreliably maybe)
- Switching mobile data on/off displays the small X on the service triangle
- Mobile data type is displayed (right now it’s only EDGE, but I’ve seen it range from GPRS to 3G to H)
*#*#4636#*#*
to enter the test menu, everything looks fine, except :
- "Mobile data" is disconnected
- "Roaming" is deactivated (though I *did* activate it)
- Ping test fails with "
Fail(2)
" : "Fail: IOException
"
And the most worrying thing :
I’m wondering if this version has the correct basebands for non-US data networks, but I’m really not knowledgeable about this.
- In the "Select radio band mode", I can only switch between "Automatic", and "United States"… and I live in France !
I’m now out of my house with no wifi and can only use voice call. I’m typing from a computer with very limited access (both network and hardware) so I can’t upload any log at the moment, but I can look for something in particular and type it manually if needed.

)its is a TTS (text-to-speech) engine and yes its included in /e/What is eSpeak (com.reecedunn.espeak, v1.48.15.20) and is it a default app in the /e/ build?
I happened to notice eSpeak in my installed apps list in Aurora Store after upgrading that to v4. I don't recall seeing it before, and it is installed as a system app, so I could not uninstall it.
Good to know! In that case, I'll add it to the Blacklist in Aurora.its is a TTS (text-to-speech) engine and yes its included in /e/
v4 is not "just" a complete UI re-write but also the backend (how apps are accessed) has totally changed. This results in often having login issues from my experience. From what I heard by others it happens more often when using anonymous (i.e not using your google account). other then that it works fine so far. a disadvantage of their new approach is e.g. in v3 you can spoof your country and get apps which are country-specific. due to their major change in the backend this does not work anymore thats why some / many? apps are missing..Good to know! In that case, I'll add it to the Blacklist in Aurora.
I had tested some questionable apps via Aurora and hoped something malicious didn't sneak in...
Also, I'm not sure if updating to Aurora Store v4 manually is ok or if I should have waited for an /e/ build with it included. An update notification tempted me to press the button and so far everything is working fine.
The extent of the changes is why I'm surprised/happy that it's working after updating manually.v4 is not "just" a complete UI re-write but also the backend (how apps are accessed) has totally changed. Of course /e/ needs to ensure that what they are doing is 100% legal and offering an app repository like cleanapk.org is not. Some users have reported that they are using Aurora, [...] (context: we will never integrate this) because it’s infriging the play store terms of services.
For this, we have to use indirect mechanisms, that don’t infrige the play store TOS, and therefore, we are using a service that is not officially part of the /e/ project, and which is called cleanapk.org
On the long run, we other plans with partners, to offer something more transparent, but it’s too soon to talk about this.
