NFC issue

Hi,

To begin with, I would like to thank you in general for this ROM: D.

I have a problem with NFC. It shows that it is running, but does not at all reaction on the reader or tag.

I tried to clean the NFC service settings, but without the result.

I have GAPPS installed, I tried the micro and mini versions (micro does not replace the NFC service)

Here is logcat attachment, I hope it's correct.

Hi, I have been having issues with WIFI for a week (It kicks me out of WIFI and then I won't turn on, it just turn on and immediately turn off, and if I turns on, it does not find any network). I have a log but I don't know if a got it right... I happens randomly but the fastest way to reproduce it is with a game or something that requires WIFI

Never have problems before in LOS 15 neither 16 until now. I have to say it also happened on LOS 16. I have a VS986 unlocked by USU.

I will provide a better one when I got home.

I tested several apps ("Smart Card Reader", "NFC Reader", and "NFCard") all of them are available in F-Froid and all detect my NFC capable bank card properly.
I have tested without gapps and with september ones (nano).
btw: the NFC component sits in the the middle of the phone's back cover.

so what app are you using or how do you want to use NFC?
Providing proper logs is described in FAQ #1 of this thread btw (e.g no google drive links)

If it is from 15.1 this does not help for LOS 16, i.e. a new log for LOS 16 is required.

answer the following questions in the LOS 15.1 thread if it the issue and log are LOS 15 related:

It's from LOS15 (I posted in the wrong thread since I'm always cheking both, sorry).

I'm gonna post it on the proper thread and will provide a better log and answer the questions...

I would like you to reconsider the integration of some spoofing signature patch in the ROM.

I know you have investigated this before., so please read this before take a decision.

The thing is that I'd like to use microG, as a substitute for Play services. You get low power use, and mainly, you get much better privacy, as you can get ride off all the google apps.

You can consider then why not get your system run without Google services completely, why use microG. Well, a lot of apps work using the G messaging system, and more things that I don't really understand.

I don't think it could really be a serious security issue, just because what the patch do is add the feature to spoof as per-app based permission, so you can choose which app activate it or not.

And you will stop the data leaking that you have using the Google thing.

Then you can use Aurora Store, or a patched PlayStore, ... etc.

I was thinking there was some patch (easy to apply) that implements what you can see in AEX. You see it as a permission that can be granted or no. I've read about a switch in developers options, but I'm not able to find it in aeolary's last build, so I supposed it is removed.

Today I installed this ROM on my H815p. Below are possible bugs I've noticed so far:

1. Tethering on 5 Ghz is not working,
2. Window animations are tearing and sometimes laggy.

About back cover I tested two of them and NFC was work on stock ROM, so propably it's not hardware issue.

I used this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wakdev.wdnfc for test. On Galaxy S3 it was work with this app.

BTW. I have device H815 and I unlocked it using official unlock.

About NFC issue... I installed Smart Card Reader from F-Droid and i start working... It's detecting cards on other apps too.

Turns out Kessara is compiling the same code of LOS only with his banned playstore access. Downloading from the original source(SFX) restores access to the playstore.


Have lineage-16.0-20190917-UNOFFICIAL-h815.zip installed.

I cant download Threema and Telegram from the Playstore. It says my device is not supported.

I can download Whatsapp without a problem.
What causes this Problem?

I can install other Apps just fine.

Well that is simply because the AOSP keyboard does not support dictating. You need another one like Gboard.

The proximity sensor during calls is way to sensitive.

With holding it normally to my ear it often happens that i press buttons with my skin.
I cant't say exactly if the touchscreen is still on with the screen turned off in some cases during a call, or if the screen intermittently turns on to register touch input.

Either way it is way to sensitive and I have to resort to turning the screen off with the power button in order not to register unwannted button presses.

Is that how it always was or a new thing?
