Unfortunately it seems that Widevine L1 is not working properly (L3 is working though)
I'm getting this exception:

Failed to initialize decoder: OMX.qcom.video.decoder.avc.secure
android.media.MediaCodec$CodecException: start failed

Can someone else try to reproduce it?

Steps to reproduce:

1. Download & install the attached ExoPlayer Sample app (or build it yourself from https://github.com/google/ExoPlayer/)
2. Try to play the "Widevine DASH Policy Tests (GTS) -> WV: HDCP not specified" asset

I have noticed that my battery life has gone down maybe a factor of 50% with the Nov rom. I'm having trouble producing a logcat. I get this error when entering the log request - logcat -b all -d -D > /sdcard/Download/logcat.txt

I have followed the instructions from the "Providing a good..." and have done this before, so I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. I'm following the step 3a one shot process.

I have only one problem: I need logs. Read FAQ #1, follow the guide "specific issue". Ensure you set the life time of the paste to the longest period possible.

:laugh:. You're right, though! But yes, @steadfasterX is so worried about security. He's always updating security patches, and LOS has a Trust App (or something like that). In every case, I think that we are the best antivirus! So you'd better be aware of the websites you access, links etc. I've used my bank account on LOS, and I assume that there's no card cloning! haha

Oh. sorry for the confusion. I wasn't talking about Netflix specifically. It's true, Netflix has to whitelist a device in order for it to be able to play HD streams.

I was talking about ExoPlayer being unable to play streams with Widevine L1.

Actually, the front front camera froze during a video call.

I managed to take a logcat :

Strangely it only starts once I hit play in Google play music. Before that I can hear system sounds just fine.
Watching YouTube is also possible without distortions.

Did you turned off when plugged in the jack or before?

The system can detect various devices so you need to turn it off for the phone speaker and then when you plugged in your headset need to check again and turn it off if needed.

according to the logs it might be "just" an issue with a limit.. you can test this if you like:

adb root && adb shell (or adb shell and su)
ulimit -n 4096

Re-produce the issue and regardless if it works or not share a new logcat again.

It might NOT help depending on which limit will exceed but lets give it a try.
Note: The ulimit setting will NOT survive a reboot, i.e. after a reboot you have to re-do that cmd.
