What are the glitches exactly with the camera (sony's stock camera app or the camera in general) and bluetooth audio? I'm planning on installing this rom so I'd like to know more.Great rom overall but reverted back to stock as there was a few small glitches/bugs with stock cam and a few other things like Bluetooth audio and calling When connected to my car
Was amazing to use otherwise
Well I just found a strange workaround. If I select "use device MAC" rather than "use randomised MAC", the wifi network works. I suppose there's something wrong with the randomised MAC address feature.I have just flashed the lineage-20.0-20230320-UNOFFICIAL-pdx215 version, and the first roadblock that I ran into is that the wifi doesn't seem to work. When connected to a wifi network, it says "Connected / No Internet Access" (see screenshot attached). I cannot browse any website, nor my wifi router's management page. However, mobile data Internet does work.
I have rebooted my phone already and I'm very sure that the wifi network does work (I'm writing this on the same wifi). What can I do to help fixing this?

1 is a known issue, will be addressed laterBeen using this rom for a while now and most things are working fine so far. However, there are a few strange quirks here and there so I'd like to ask if anyone has the same issues too.
Do note that I have kirisakura kernel, magisk and LSPosed installed.
- Screen colour calibration through "settings - display - LiveDisplay" resets on reboot
- When using 120 hz screen refresh rate (settings - display - smooth display), the minimum screen brightness allowed is slightly lower than that of 60 hz, which makes the screen display a purple tint on lowest brightness (likely an OLED screen quirk). It would be great to make the minimum brightness allowed the same as that of 60 hz.
- "Double" tap to wake (settings - display - tap to wake) actually takes like a dozen taps to wake the phone after screen off for a while (not sure how long to trigger this glitch, works fine if you double tap shortly after locking the phone)
- Home long press action (settings - buttons - home long press action) does nothing (although likely to be a problem on LineageOS's side). Also, the long press time on back button is way too short (it used to be 2 seconds on LineageOS 15.1). It's ever slightly irritating since I use back button long press to kill foreground apps, and the short delay makes it easy to accidentally trigger the kill.
4. Does long press home really work? That's the first thing I tested back when I freshly installed LOS. Can you try setting it to turn off screen on long press? That's a habit I'm used to since my old phone on LOS 15.1 so it'd be nice to get that specific action working.1 is a known issue, will be addressed later
3 is because you are using kirisakura's kernel, which misses some patches required.
2: it is implemented, when brightness is low it should only do 60hz, but if might not work properly.
4. Long press home does something for me
Yes, long press home works.4. Does long press home really work? That's the first thing I tested back when I freshly installed LOS. Can you try setting it to turn off screen on long press? That's a habit I'm used to since my old phone on LOS 15.1 so it'd be nice to get that specific action working.
For 2, what I meant is when 120 hz is enabled, minimum brightness is too low. When 60 hz is enabled, minimum brightness is higher so it's perfect. It'd be fantastic if both 120 hz and 60 hz's minimum brightness are the same.
Although of course it could be the custom kernel. I'll have to test it.
For the other issues, I will try flashing the stock kernel and check again. Although the kirisakura kernel's cpu clock speed limit feature is kind of necessary to make the battery life somewhat bearable.
Sorry about the point the dt2w thing, the problem seem to happen on my device.I just flashed the stock kernel that came with the rom (that means no root and LSPosed) and all of the above problem still persists, including double tap to wake.
As for long press home, are we really using the same build on March 30? It has never worked for me even on fresh install.
Normally you need to do a factory reset.I switched from unofficial to official LOS.
Is it normal to be able switch from unofficial to official LOS without losing data?
I am only asking this since I installed the official LOS this way and I did not have to factory reset as written in the wiki guides
Thanks, for confirming about requiring factory reset.
For double tap to wake, I should mention that if I have fingerprint unlock set up, and I touch the fingerprint sensor (with an unregistered fingerprint) before double tapping, it is guaranteed to wake the phone.Sorry about the point the dt2w thing, the problem seem to happen on my device.
Sadly it seems to be something related to the proximity check, so there is nothing I can do about that, at least for now.
And yes, I can long press home to turn off my screen
Yes Sony Xperia 1 III has gone official and I believe it should be more stable than than March 30th version, since it is unofficial and does not contains all changes merged from March 30th to May 10th in official build with May security patch.Probably unrelated, but is it true that LOS 20 on this phone has finally gone official? ( https://download.lineageos.org/devices/pdx215/builds )
Can I expect the official nightly version be more stable than this unofficial build, which hasn't updated since March 30?

wrong link lmao https://download.lineageos.org/devices/pdx214/changesYes Sony Xperia 1 III has gone official and I believe it should be more stable than than March 30th version, since it is unofficial and does not contains all changes merged from March 30th to May 10th in official build with May security patch.
I am currently using the official build and for me it feels smoother and it did get rid of the notification about build using public keys on each reboot.
Edit: Sony Xperia 5 III is also official https://download.lineageos.org/devices/pdx215/changes.
Yeah, I linked in incorrect link (thanks to my browser showing wrong link) thanks for posting correct one.

Related repositories have been forked to lineageos. So we are half way there. Will there be an effort to getpdx215
upstreamed to "official" status? Official ROMs come with the benefit of LineageOS for microG builds.
Should work perfectly
