Update - 7/7 (8.8.30 firmware minimum)

- Android r44
- July security patch
- Removed AudioFX
- Added Gaming Mode (block notifications etc while specified apps are running)
- Added One Handed Mode tile
- Added more Quick settings tile themes
- Added membar to recents options
- Added Q style to battery icon
- Fix some substratum issues

For me the weather status doesn't show. I'm using FW 8.8.30.

Odd. Works for me with normal or OC'd ROM (which is to be expected as they're 99.9% identical). Maybe it's because I'm just flashing without wiping data (just sys/vendor/caches).

Seems to work now after I also wiped vendor before flashed the update. Thanks!

Regarding the dots that appear in the status bar, and that should correspond to a display notch, is there a way to totally get rid of them and show everything, especially the network speed?

The notch settings are in the dev options but it should be set to default, i.e. no notch cutout. I've never seen those dots but I have changed my DPI so I can fit more in the status bar. I also have two SIMs, an alarm icon, network traffic enabled and the clock (day d/m time), but still no dots.

It appears they're related to there being too many icons to show (even though you clearly have sufficient space). Anyone else get these overflow icons?

This is the current situation, you can see what happens with the status bar, and what shows when I drag down, that is, all the icons that should be in there, but don't fit.
I also tested the notch options, and they make it worse as part of the display gets blacked out totally. Instead, with the default settings, I get the dots, they make it so the icons never go past the central part of the status bar.

I kind of like the current DPI settings, but I suppose I could install a DPI changer just for the sake of checking if the problem persists

You can change the DPI (or the resolution) in the terminal with a command (you can enable the terminal in the developer options).
In the terminal type:
su
wm density (so you can see the actual value)
wm density (if you want to change that value put the one you want).

Very strange thing happens to me.
Sometimes the alarm doesn't make sound and doesn't vibrate.
This year it happened for the first time but i noticed it happening trice since i use ROMs from here (multiple ROMs, Oreo and Pie)
I have the alarm set for fixed time every day and i'm a light sleeper so there is no way i could forget to set the alarm or sleep trough it.

Still a superb ROM tho :)

What alarm app are you using? I'm not too familiar with the cause behind it, but it might be the firmware(?).

Hi, when a flash the last rom version, 2-3 of my alarms in Google clock doesn't sounds and the problem was the alarm sound option in each alarm, it was set to silence and I don't know why and only 2-3 of them

thank you, I indeed could show more of the icons if I progressively went down from the default 480 to 350... still no luck with left hand icons though, and even if I would be fine with smaller contents in the notification area, I cannot stand everything else getting so small on the screen, I like the 480DPI :)
This is just silly that a "virtual notch" is imposed where I have a no-notch display :)

It's very sad. I really like crDroid. Is it possible the resuscitation of RR?

CR is being actively developed. Way more than RR. It just takes time for them to migrate to the new version.

Oreo came out August 2017. We didn't get a ROM until the very end of December of that year. It wasn't until about April/May 2018 that it was stable and all (pretty much) the features from Nougat were restored. Even then there were still recurring issues, especially around the proximity sensor.
