I can't seem to get LiveDisplay or grayscale mode to work. The screen colors don't change when changing settings. Are others experiencing this? It's kind of a deal breaker for me.
Also, the camera app from Gapps keeps crashing. Other camera apps work, though.

I can confirm the LiveDisplay issue.
For the gcam issue: flash camera2api enabler module through magisk and it should be fine. ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-camera2api-enabler-t3656651 )
Live display will be fixed in today's update. vm03 will release it soon
Gapps Camera works only on Nexus/Pixel devices, so dont use >=stock Gapps Package
Cam2API already enabled in all roms from Februrary 2018.
Flashing this module can cause different troubles. people from 4pda caught them a lot

Regarding Gcam , this modded version works perfectly for me , only slow-mo crashes .

Many thanks. Just installed the ROM on my 2X. Works and looks pretty smooth so far. Will test a little more extensively later on. Just out of curiosity, any ambitions on making it LOS official or activating OTA?

Having installed this, I don't seen to have 4G. Is there something I've missed?
I tried to install this on my Swift 2X but got an 'update error 7' message. I found some instructions about editing the update-script file but that just led to a 'zip is corrupt' message. Any suggestions?
well corrupted zip message means you unzipped then rezipped the rom ..you have to "browse" the .zip file WITHOUT extracting the .zip ...then edit the updater script
however that being said your device is marmite and the script is looking for marmite devices ...so ...
either the zip is really corrupted from a bad download ...or you downloaded an UPDATE zip ..meaning you already need to be on LOS 16 then just update ..this can be fixed by downloading the oldest version of the rom from the top of the thread ..plus the latest update .flash the oldest first and then newest on top ...
if that still fails you need to update your bootloader ( too old a version ) ( extract from last official Oreo update ) ....you need to update your twrp or check you installed a "marmite" recovery
you repartitioned and flashed treble files...in which case ...flash unpartition script and flash regular latest marmite twrp
check all these boxes one by one and it will flash cos it works on marmite ... I've tried it myself and it is for marmite ...in my case the bootloader was the culprit ...

Updated TWRP as I was on a fairly old version, re-downloaded the ROM and Roberta's your lesbian auntie's bidie-in!
Working very nicely so far. Not sure about the bouncing icons in the stock launcher, I'll stick with Nova.
While I'm here, does anyone know why official Lineage ROMs are only for 'crackling' or 'kipper' models rather than 'marmite'?

a developer has to submit a request to lineage to get "official" status and then follow all the guidelines they stipulate ..lineage team can't build roms for all phones ..developers have nothing to gain and alot of work ahead if they seek official recognition ..most don't bother ..and just build the rom ..that would be the main reason
as to why crackling has more devs or one who requested official recognition from lineage is a question for him or the universe..just be happy we have devs since there are other devices with similar or better specs from known brands with no new roms or updates
