Hi, tried installing on s10 using modpunk's LOS method without zip verification with no errors in TWRP but hanging on yellow triangle warning screen after reboot. With zip verification checked it fails verification in TWRP.
Installed modpunks LOS 17.1 V1.3 after with no problems.
Many thanks for work on this project, any advice would be much appreciated.

Wow, looks like we've lost some answers with the forum migration.

As you may (or not) remember, I have posted an updated build based on modpunk's v1.3

Did anyone successfully boot it? I know that one failed, but the corruption check under TWRP gave bad result. Just curious to see if latest builds boot fine. And if yes, are bluetooth calls working ok?

Thanks

Ah good, your answer is still here!!

How about checking the md5 on your PC, is the output OK compared with the md5sum files available on the drive?

Thanks

Hello. Same here! .. S10+
- lineage worked fine
- did wipe cache/dalvik and format data
- no cert verify (didnt verify, so did without)
- tried once without wipe cache/dalvik and once with (after install)
Still stuck on Yellow triangle page

Hi, sorry for the delay in answering, I haven't been able to log in so re-registered.
I checked the md5 and they matched. After installing modpunks LOS 17.1 I thought I would try the earlier build of your /e/ os and it installed without a problem.
Been using it for a few days and have had no issues.
Thankyou

Thanks both @se160269#2 and @trendgegner for reporting.

That's just crazy.... First versions were super dirty builds, in which I manually replaced the vendor.img with the one from modpunk's LOS version.

Those new builds are supposed to be cleaner, as I properly extracted the proprietary files into the root of my sources before building.

Let me try some new stuff.

Anyone tried with the S10e?

Don't wanna brick the phone, so I ask first ..
Can I install /e/ 20201107 on my lineageOS 20201113, or do I have to install earlier lineageOS first??
Can I reuse data, so would a backup made in lineage work in /e/. I get used to lineage while waiting on new /e/ version :)
.. thanks ..

Hey,

LOS 20201113 and the previous version require the same firmware version. So I'd say yes.

People coming from modpunk's LOS and who faced issues flashing /e/ were all fine by reflashing mopdunk's LOS right after. But as always, you're doing this kind of stuff at your own risk.

Anyway, data backup on you PC + a TWRP backup don't hurt.

I'll try to update my builds next week, but anyway, /e/ did not get any functionality update since

So installed /e/ 20201107 .. worked except zip-cert verification
But I'm not sure if it worked, because I don't see any difference to lineageOS.
Same boot-image, settings, apps, etc.

.. thanks ..

sorry for if that sounded mean, no native speaker, so I give my best .. but I'm also lazy :)
So don´t get me wrong. /e/'s first impression is just AMAZING!!! first I wanted to install f-droid for bromite (for pwa's .. webdeveloper)
Than I realized it is already the default browser. Most other default also seems as best option you can find. Your App-Store is great .. so till now WOW.
(I just would like some more visual options, but maybe that´s just outsourced in apps .. I'm absolutly new to open-android .. so I have no idea if I just miss something?)
.. thanks a lot & great work! ..

Cool that you liked it! Which version did you flash?

For the iOS look, I personally don't like it. You can install any launcher you like to replace Bliss Launcher (default /e/ launcher).

If you update from Modpunk's LOS, then yes, you can skip the formatting step.
It does not work. With the older version there is a boot loop and ends in TWRP. With the newer version the device hangs at the S10E boot logo. Fortunately I was able to install LineageOS again without any data loss.

Some reported it to work without formatting, I think it can be found in previous pages.

However, there may be some exceptions.

Side question, do you mean really formatting data, or wiping? Because when switching from one ROM to another, you always have to clean flash.

So wiping /data (TWRP leaves /data/media untouched) is necessary. But your picture and whatever is on internal storage is safe.

Formatting data entirely formats /data, and yes, you loose all data.

But those are two different things that must not be mixed.

Please let me know what you were really talking about.

Thanks
