Sounds like you are restoring from backup after you flashed AICP. If I am correct in assuming this, then your backup is causing the bootloop.

I moved from MIUI to AICP and I restored some of my apps using Titanium Backup. I only use the recovery-generated backup if I want to revert to my previous install. Sometimes restoring from recovery-generated backup causes an error too so I just start fresh when moving from ROM to ROM. Hope this helps.
I have repeated the instruction above, format data + wipe data/cache -> install miui eu 12.0.6 -> install acpi rom -> gapps -> magisk -> wipe data/cache -> reboot -> bootloop :crying:

This is how I moved to AICP from MIUI:

  1. In custom recovery (e.g. TWRP, PBRP): Format data
  2. Reboot to recovery
  3. Since you already installed MIUI 12.0.6.0 previously, just install AICP
  4. Try booting to AICP.
  5. If successful, go back to recovery and install GApps and Magisk
  6. Profit

@NecrolyseS Can you go back to 12.0.6.0 at least? Because if not then you'll have to go back and restore to full stock using MiFlash, reunlock the bootloader, reinstall custom recovery, and attempt to install AICP. You might need to have someone take a look at your phone as it's very difficult to troubleshoot over a forum.

Yes I can go back to 12.0.6.0. I went back to that miui rom before I flash AICP

Yes, working like a charm
I need to know:
- Which exact model do you have (in case you have K30i or Racing).
- Whether you flash something else besides GApps and Magisk.
- If you have tried Magisk 20.3
- The recovery you're using.
- Also the AICP build you use (I obviously recommend the latest stable release).
- And finally if you could root other ROMs with Magisk (Havoc, RR,...).

Finally, it could be great if you could send me the recovery.log after flashing Magisk.

- My model is Redmi k30 5g 6GB/64GB
- nothing, I followed your instruction
- yes, 21/20.4/20.3 all lead to bootloop
- same recovery as you provide
- latest stable build
- I haven't find any other custom rom for my device in XDA, lineageos require miui 11 and below so there's no use

Ok, thanks.
Have you tried giving a go with new TWRP? Though it's weird, as I can root with PBRP...

Some issues :
1. Notification LED not working
2. Sometimes the app crashes suddenly and switches itself back to the home screen ( No error showup )
