For my RR 6.0.1 I believe I personally used pico with no issues.. actually I believe that's all I've used I'll look into it tho do you have any logcats
thats odd because my issues dont start until i flash gapps. ive tried pico as well and they always cause the OS to start up with google app crashes constantly .
No logcats since I went back to stock but I can generate some if you tell me how. I just haven't done it on this device before .

Just ADB logcat it and are you running my first release or second?

Interesting I always flashed rom then gapps I only issue I had was slow boot times I can try to take a look at potentially why that maybe an issue once I can get make 3.82 to install if I can't I'm looking for a work around like I did for Java but I haven't synced RR 6.0 yet I'll have to fix somethings for the repo sync and I maybe able to look

I'll still look at your logs and compare them to mine as for syncing RR MM that's not on the top of my list I am currently grabbing AOSP 7.0 to try to look at how android itself changed and seeing what I can do with stock roth maybe in a hope to get the video driver working as no other work around has worked I'll see what I can do tho just go and pull your logs I believe I enabled ABD on boot if I recall correctly

Edit post the logs in like pastebin or del.dog and PM them to me

So im currently flashing version 574 and doing some research on the problem i mentioned and i came across this here:

https://github.com/jomo/fix_open_gapps_permissions do you think theres a way to implement this script in the rom so it auto patches the gapps? this could be the solution to the issues that myself and others are having trouble with. im gonna test it when i get the rom installed

There was an issue with that you are using the second release right? If so it's going to do that should be able to reboot and boot in if not reflash and try doing the script via ADB while in TWRP

I was able to get past it, but still same issue. stuck at "Unfortunately setup wizard has stopped"

For some reason i cant get access to adb from twrp, ill give it another shot though

I was able to get past it by going to recovery and wiping cache/dalvik cache, but still same issue. stuck at "Unfortunately setup wizard has stopped" -- and i cant get past this

No worries! i solved the issue in an extreme kinda way lol

So i had suspicion that there was something wrong with the pico gapps--- and there IS something wrong with them.. what that is exactly? idk. BUT!

I found out from installing the apps from the apks i can get the play store and services working. there was no way for me to figure out which apk to use so i just went to a certain APK site (not sure if we can link those sites here) and downloaded every version of play store (services, calendar sync , etc.) and loaded it on my sd card.

in file manager i noticed there are some versions that dont show the proper play services icon and some that do. and i tried one that shows the services icon-- that worked and i followed suit for the rest of the apps.

im not sure what the deal is with the pico apps that causes crashing on literally every rom posted on here but i think i should pull the apks i used and put them in a general post for others to use
