Many of us have impatiently waited for RR Oreo. But the wait is finally over. Here is the latest ResurrectionRemix Oreo for our Shield-Tablet.

Install Instructions:

  • Download the latest build
  • Download GApps
  • Download extras like Magisk
  • Take a TWRP backup
  • Wipe>Full wipe and factory reset
  • Flash ROM using latest TWRP recovery
  • Flash GApps
  • Flash Magisk or other extras
  • Wipe Cache and Dalvik
  • Reboot
  • Enjoy!

Yeah managed to port it, nice. Anyway, that does mean HW decoding isn't working so no Spotify and Netflix.
Whats that point of hardware decoding? I thought it would be something about video playing, but what does it have to do with spotify? I tested different HEVC video codecs and they're all working with the VLC app..

No i got it all confused. Spotify should work indeed. What I do find crazy is video, my lineage builds don't played any in MX and there's nothing changed in device files yet..

Okay, I know what you're talking about now. In Mx Player app from playstore, video files only play via Software Decoding. Hardware Decoding is not supported it says. I used test files from h265files.com btw. But I think HW decoding is not implemented anywhere in the device tree of our Shieldtablet, so it won't work until Steel01 implements it ;)

It is implemented, but it's not working. And steel doesn't understand why.
