Phone calls will be set to sim2 after the reboot :-(

I can't find a solution for this issue.
Default sim for calls should be placed in sim 2 slot. But it doesn't support VoLTE.
Data usage and sms could be set to any card.
'Ask every time' option doesn't work for calls. It resets to sim2 after each reboot.

It doesn't cause any issues for me. I inserted calling sim in the sim-1 slot and other sim in sim-2 slot. After rebooting the preference for calling still on the sim-1 slot which is with VoLTE. That's really strange. I tested 2 sims today on my device. Each reboot resets calls into sim2 on my device.
So device to device the functionality differs? For me only the little inconvenience is that for making a call through the sim card in the sim slot-2, I have to reset calls preference. The sim card in the first sim-card slot is always enabled for calls after rebooting in my case.

It's ok and your question is ok. You don't need to worry about that.

One developer kindly helped me to fix VoLTE for sim2.

Please remove ims.apk in the folder system/priv-app/ims, copy this one there, and reboot your device.
VoLTE option will appear for sim2.

I'm using the latest Magisk v21.4. Updated it from live rom before dirty flash. Works fine for me.
I made a Magisk module based on this fixed apk for those who can't/don't want to replace ims.apk and want to get VoLTE working in sim2 slot. It should work in any of my Q roms.

Follow all the next instructions carefully

1) Backup Everything (Most Important)
2) Download ROM, Gapps (not required for the ROM with built-in GApps), Magisk, etc.
3) Reboot to Recovery (TWRP)
4) Wipe System, Data, Cache, Dalvik Cache.
5) Format Data (This step will remove encryption as well as all files in your phone storage)
6) Reboot to Recovery (TWRP)
7) Flash - ROM, Gapps (not required for the ROM with built-in GApps), Magisk
8) Once done, wipe cache.
9) Reboot to System.
-UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS-
- Download the latest build of Resurrection Remix ROM

Download the Catlog app from the Play Store.

After downloading the Catlog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into Catlog and stop the log recording.
