Syberia Project (aka Syberia OS) is a custom ROM for Xiaomi Mi5 (Gemini) that implements various features. This project was designed by our "Syberia Team" from scratch based on AOSP source code. Our team: @blinoff82, @DennySPB, @alexxxdev. Also many thanks to our designer @rlshukhov for logos, wallpapers and bootanimation.​

-Backup each and every partition from TWRP Recovery
-If you're coming from another ROM, you should wipe 
/system, /data, /cache, and dalvik/art cache.
-Flash the ROM.
-Flash any other mods/etc. you want (e.g. GApps, Magisk).

small bugs

Hi, thanx for this rom ...and sorry for my english..

some small bugs:
1) every all boot im getting system error (screenshots..), and every boot system saying "Sim card changed".
2) Cant set USB mode. (only if i set default mode in developer options, then i can use file transfer)

(i flashed from stock miui v10 developer rom using twrp 3.2.3-rolex)

Thanks for bringing a awesome ROM to redmi 4a

But I found some bugs hoping that these bugs get fixed in the near future :good:

Camera, gallery, google services, most of the apps force close or crash

Storage media always crashes which does not allow us to open file manager

Flash gapps at first boot makes a problem.
Until we finish pixel setup we cannot enter the system and the pixel setup gives a loop while checking system updates

And a handful thanks for making volte to work
Its important to me as my sim is Jio

I tried with some custom recoveries, treble support and I got this error:
"Zip treble compatibility error!"

Because we don't have pie based blobs currently . So we stil using oreo blobs to pie . There is service called ims control media service's (Volte) . So a script added for reset sim card settings to work volte properly . That's why you got sim card reset settings every reboot . For usb go to developer option enable it manually . This is beta rom . So we need some time to fix this temp issue.

Try to use dragon twrp by aryan or sunny raj. If you stil getting this error simply remove compatibility.zip from inside of rom.zip flash it

Do clean install again. I think you installed wrong gapps try to install opengapps pico pack

Is this compatible with Riva (Redmi 5a)? I wonder why Hardware Encrption seems to be an issue on all pie based roms right now. Is it because of a source code bug?

1. It isn't compatible with the Redmi 5A
2. Hardware encryption requires extra code to be added into system/vold and it also requires libcryptfs_hw library to be compiled/added, and most (if not all) Android Pie ROMs don't have both of those things, and so that's why hardware encryption isn't working

Is it Treble based? And we do need vendor partitioning as well for Magisk to be installed. I used Treble based TWRP with /vendor partitioning and it worked quite smoothly.

I was getting an error like
"Enter your PIN to start the device" when I flash this ROM, and after entering PIN it says that "Decrypted Unsuccessfully" and telling me to Reset the phone in order to use this ROM .
I also did that but again after booting it showing me the same display to enter PIN

You need to format data in twrp

Wipe-->format data --> yes

Then you will not get error

This is encryption error present currently on all pie ROMs for this device
